“Great standard rooms that feel like suites”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

Brilliant service, excellent roof top pool and lovely dressing gowns to help you feel right at home. Carpet was somewhat mesmerizing, the air con was a little noisy and the valet seemed expensive but overall for a four star hotel this had alot going for it. Would not hesitate to recommend or stay there again.

This is a great hotel in a great locatio. It's between sunset and sant monica there are so many things around that youcan do nearby. The hotel also has shuttle service that will drop you off anywhere within 3 miles. The bus system isn't the best, but alright. You can get a day pass for 5 dollars, and you cam go to places like beverly hill, hollywood and the beacg easily by bus.

We found this hotel online and decided to give it a try on your recent trip to California.
While booking, we selected the 'airport pick-up' option and the hotel arranged a car, relatively old-looking but quite spacious inside; although the price was originally USD90 (if I recall), it was USD120 in the end because it was an "international flight"; what difference does it make?

Anyways, the hotel is in a great location, very close-by all the major spots we planned on visiting: Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Santa Monica/Venice, Downtown... The neighborhood is residential so very quiet. We were given our wifi login/password, free of charge, as soon as we checked in, so we had a very good first impression!

We booked a standard room with king-size comfy bed, well-furnished and practical layout.
The only things were 1-the room was too dark at night, even with all the lights on; 2-the bathroom was too narrow, and lacking room to put our own belongings; we usually pack light, the minimum, but there was barely room for my gf's make-up and my contact-lens stuff; 3-the room does looks nice in general, but when you look at the details, the hangers were a little dusty, the towels, although I am sure they were clean, have a strong swimming pool smell (chlorine) , the cupboard door didn't slide properly. Sorry, working in the service industry myself, I can be quite picky sometimes.

I was told that being in Cali, it's best to drive to get around, so we decided to rent a car.
The staff was very efficient and helpful on this; the hotel works with several companies, and it basically took half an hour to have our car delivered at the hotel, from the minute we called them. Hotel parking and valet are available, but they charge USD20+/day, even for hotel guests.

Service-wise, positive overall. The staff is helpful and friendly (probably due to the tipping policy in the US?). But we noticed that when it gets busy, the personnel is quickly "out-numbered" and you need to line-up to be assisted. It happened to us when we checked-in and out.

All in all, Chamberlain is not as upscale as we were shown on the website, but we enjoyed our stay in this hotel, that has room for improvement. Will we return? Possibly, at least to check out that rooftop swimming pool. Do I recommend it? Yes, especially for couples looking for calm and cosy environment.

I inadvertently found this hotel online and got a great deal on it. I'm very happy I did. It's in a great location, particularly due to its neighborhood - a cozy, quiet area. The bed was very soft but also very warm (pump up that AC!). I liked the glass shower stall and the couch was nice too. I even used their barely used gym which has a few machines and weights - even some free water and fruit for later too!

The staff was very pleasant and eager to please. It really does feel like a place for couples - not so much for families, just so you know. Yes, parking is horrible, but get used to it for LA. On a side note, I'd rather have low/no parking fee and pay more for the room, if that makes any sense. Can't wait to return someday.

Room Tip: Get a top floor, if possible!

On my recent Trip out to LA we switched accommodations to get closer to Hollywood. This location is perfect. It's right near Sunset Strip, but it is still secluded. The roof top pool has a great view of the mountains. The rooms are fantastic. HUGE! I was very very impressed for the price we paid. It seems like Chamberlain is priced very strategically between very expensive accommodation and less fancy accommodations. I did not think we would be getting a room even close to the size that we ended up in- the room had two TVs, a balcony, an elevated bedroom area, separated toilet and shower from vanity and sink, ample closet space, and all the amenities you could wish for (full mini fridge, bathrobes, iPhone dock, excess hangers, and upscale toiletries). I wish we were able to stay longer. I could have enjoyed this place for an extended amount of time and will absolutely return and recommend it to all my west coast traveling friends!

Room Tip: Trader Joes is two seconds away! Get you food there instead of the mini fridge (unless you are look...

We stayed at this beautiful boutique hotel at the end of June 2012 for five days in a suite. It was great having a fireplace that I turned on every evening to take the chill off. It was very spacious with a beautiful marble bathroom, a large bedroom and a balcony. We were just steps from Santa Monica Blvd, Starbucks and Trader Joes. They had a shuttle service that went to Rodeo Drive and the Walk Of Fame. Universal Studios was a short cab ride away. The staff were very friendly and the area was very safe even to go out at night. Being a dog lover I have never seen so many dogs in one place! I hope to return soon.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the street it's in a quiet residential area.

Got a great deal on a 1 bedroom suite for a weekend stay. The suite is EXTREMELY SPACIOUS. While there were no true views of the neighborhood, you are in the HEART of West Hollywood (I would suggest you do your research of Weho before booking a hotel in the area) and it's wonderful! Close to Beverly Hills, there are plenty of shopping and dining options within a couple of miles and even walking distance.

The pool (while on the rooftop) is quaint and there is no elaborate bar or restaurant BUT the food and service are GREAT. The bathrooms are very modern and spacious. Kitchenette is super convenient and the only thing that might throw you off is the carpeting throughout the entire suite. The fireplace sets the mood and give the suite a cozy feel and almost makes you forget all the action you can get in right outside the hotel doors!

In other words, Chamberlain West Hollywood is the epidemy of a fantastic boutique hotel.

Room Tip: If you want true heat and not ambient comfort, use the air condition/heater and do not rely on the f...
