“Pleasant stay in Weaverville”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2011

Good price on a deluxe suite with Jacuzzi. Close to Weaverville downtown and other attractions. Clean and quiet where we were in the back area. In the heart of Trinity Alps recreation area.

Room Tip: Get the room with king bed and Jacuzzi.

We stopped here with our three kids (ages 13, 8 &6) for a one night stay after visiting Turtle Bay and before heading west to chase Big Foot and some ocean air. We stayed in the "delux" room, four slept in two comfy queen sized beds and one on the couch. the room was simple and clean, nothing super fancy or modern.
But what my kids loved was free popcorn in the lobby and the heated pool. It was hot today (95 in redding and about 85 in weaverville) and the kids were STOKED to swim. Also worth noting, there are tons of geocaches within easy striking distance (if you don't know about what geocaching is, google it to learn more about this very cool and fun activity). Free Wifi made me very happy! Also it is an easy walk to downtown historic Weaverville. Kids would love to stay one more day to swim and geocache.
The staff here is very helpful and nice. Bobert was very friendly as he took our res. by phone and wrote them in his "blue binder". Alan was very welcoming as we signed in. Just good, old fashion, family business. Priced under $100 and we couldn't be happier! If you are looking for swanky, this may not be your place/ But if you want a clean, safe, pleasant pit stop in lovely Weaverville, I would try this place. We'd come back for sure!

I stay at this motel once a year and every year it gets worse. This time the room we were given was in the Old section - The room smelled of mold and mildew. The shower looked like it was full of dry rot. It was just awful - we won't be staying there again.

We stayed at this property for four nights while fly fishing on the Trinity River. It's a family-run motel with friendly staff and clean, cozy rooms. Our room had a microwave and mini-frig with a freezer. We had a table and two chairs as well as a double bed. The motel has 50 cable TV channels. it also has free wi-fi (we had some connection problems due to our distance from the office but didn't pursue it since we didn't really need to access email). Another nice feature was being able to park right outside our door. The 49er is on the main road in Weaverville and is easy to find. We'll definitely stay here again when we return to fly fish.

My Fiance and I stayed here for 4 nights while visiting family. Our entire stay was very nice!

Staff was very nice, quick check in at the front desk (with free fresh popped popcorn) and the girls who clean the rooms were very efficient. Location was great, right in the middle of town (you could walk everywhere if you really wanted to) and cheaper than the "fancy" place that was up the street.

The basic rooms are a good size and the bed was comfortable. There was a post undernieth the bed to prevent it from sagging so no complaints there. TV worked great with basic channels. The room was clean and cozy and QUIET!!!
The bathroom had a nice roomy shower, good water pressure and the hot water stayed hot (not that california in july needs help with that, lol) There were some repaired cracks and such in the bathroom, but it's an older place so no big deal.

Pool was great on the day it was 108 degrees!! Really nice place, will stay there again!

This cute motel was very clean and comfortable. Customer service was excellent...they were willing to let me cancel the same day due to illness without a charge, but glad I didn't! Would tell others and stay there again.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the 49er in Weaverville for Valentines Day and had a fantastic time. Everything was perfect, maids were always there to help if you needed anything. Very close to everything downtown, very quiet and private room. Beautiful, can't wait til next year.
