“Oh, so so good!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2014

We love Chef Jon's! He is a master of sauces and flavors. He crafts each dish individually. That can sometimes mean a wait or food not all arriving at once, but it is well worth it. He is also able to personalize each dish with any special requests. Jon and his wife Helen are wonderful hosts! Some of our favorite dishes are the sticky chicken (one review mentions it is made in advance - that has never been our experience), the ribs, the basil fried rice, the mongolian beef, and his curries, not to mention his coconut and hot and sour soups. This is not a typical Asian restaurant - each dish really is unique. You don't go there just for a meal - you go for an experience.

Our youngest son (who is a picky eater) happily declares this as his favorite restaurant, and we chose Chef Jon to cater that son's bar mitzvah. People are still talking about the food two years later! It was just as good as in the restaurant, and he was able to accomodate all of our special requests, including gluten free options for some of our guests. We can't say enough good things about Chef Jon's!

“Delicious, inventive, innovative”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

Just the right amount of heat, this is a great little place with a wonderfully inventive chef/owner. By far, the best hot and sour soup I've ever had, the ribs are delicious and we'll return again as we're local.

“No Confusion about This Asian Fusion Cuisine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

This is my third visit for lunch at Chef Jon Lee. Consistent and delicious each time. We had Chef Chef Jon’s Famous Sticky Crunchy Chicken and curry chicken. We selected from the lunch menu which has about 6 choices all served with soup or salad for $8.50. We started with the soup selection of Hot and Sour, delicious. Healthiest Hot and Sour I have ever had with just a touch of heat at the end. Our waitress, Chef Jon's wife, is ever so efficient and pleasant. She even offered to add rice to our leftovers we took home. No charge!
A rare gem in a world of over priced, unhealthy, big-chain restaurants.

“Great Asian fusion dishes with unique flavors, hidden in a strip mall”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

This is a wonderful place for the food, ambience is only okay - not stuffy so comfortable place to bring the kids. The sticky chicken appetizer is a must try. We had the fresh catch of the day each time we were there and the sauces were amazing. Very tasty flavors, can see chef there cooking the meals. Waitstaff has always been friendly and helpful as well.

“Great Food Hidden in a Strip Mall”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2012

This is the kind of place you drive by, thinking it is just another Chinese restaurant. You would be wrong. Hidden in a small strip mall is a gem of a restaurant, family run, with the care and thoughtfulness given to the food you would expect when the chef is the owner. He creates each dish from scratch to your taste (be prepared for a leisurely, but excellent dinner). Many of the dishes are unique to this restaurant, but when he opts for something more usual - Mongolian Beef was one choice last night - he elevates it to something special. His sticky chicken app is amazing - what caramel corn should be for those of us preferring more savory, interesting flavors. Every offering is prepared and presented as if it were at a place commanding 2x the price. Rice is a choice of white or brown - a nice touch. And it is personal. The chef checks in with each diner and and every person there is committed to making sure you have a wonderful time.

Though a small place, the art is carefully chosen. You can watch them cook for you or just relax with some delicious green tea while you wait to be delighted. Sometimes, the great finds aren't in the obvious places - this is worth the look.

Make reservations. The room is small and his reputation is growing.
