“Not fit for a dog!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2014

We reserved a suite so we would have access to a refrigerator in the room and room for our mountain bikes. Hauled our bags up to the 3rd floor to find the room a mess with trash and bedding on the floor. There was no housekeeping staff on duty so we were put in a filthy room on the ground level. 6 Sheriff cars showed up at 5am to break up a drug bust or something of the like.

For all the time and money put into the new La Quinta re-brand, this property has missed the mark. The owners of this property should seriously reconsider how they are presenting their business and their rooms. My room was institutional white with patches on the walls and on the bathroom door. Not the kind of property I would ever stay in again.

Sketchy characters around the place at check-in. Would not ever stay in a regular room, given the illegal activity that we saw going on at 10PM on a Monday. The suites are in a secure section of the Inn, at least a bit of safety. Bathroom was dirty on arrival. Bed was comfy, suite was spacious. Tub was not installed properly which made showering an adventure as the bottom moved when standing on it. Did not try the breakfast

Stayed in one of the suites recently--the room is huge but mostly wasted space. Check-in was flawless and courteous. Furniture is worn and not comfortable except for the bed which we both found to be excellent. Surprisingly small bathroom with a tub/shower and poor water pressure. There was a refrig (thanks!) and the wifi was strong. Despite its proximity to the hiway, it was amazingly quiet. Carpet was worn and stained and the breakfast was very fundamental; fortunately, there is a Denny's next door. The pool looks inviting and the grounds are clean and safe. We've been here two other times and, given its location, we will likely come back. This is an OK place for the price that's near stuff we want to be close to.

Room Tip: Suites are massive and quiet with a frig

spent 5 nights there, probably about 2 nights longer than I wanted to, overall not bad for the price.
We checked in after midnight and aside from a sign that said back in 5 min.got checked in although graveyard night desk person was not too customer service focused...likley why she is on night shift. When my wife originally booked was told we could reserve adjoining room, no such thing. Cleared it up with Manager next day and found the suite we were in large enough for all 3 of us. I found the beds quite comfortable, shower not so good unless under 5 feet tall and bath towels great if you're like 10 years old. I found the carpets to have a very grungy feel, best to walk around in slippers or sandals. The AC and TV system were great.
The morning complimentry breakfast was something I avoided after first day, very crowded and unsupervised kids with a need to touch every food item. I would suggest going to breakfast next store at IHOP. The maids were awesome, did a nice job of cleaning the room each day and one lady even ran to get me some towels when we were at the pool and I'm sure she was finished her shift. The place is also a little run down, definitely needs a makeover.

We stayed there on 4th of July weekend because of the visit of Carlsbad outlet which is nearby. The location was good and check in was easy.Room was OK but there was a bad odor coming from the bathroom. The bathroom needs more cleaning. The carpet looked so old and dirty so we had to wear our slippers all the time.I think I won't try this location again.

Good place to stay in Vista if you have dogs. Has a pool too. near freeway for easy access. restaurants near by too. Rooms are nice. Enjoyed the stay and had a great time too. They offer breakfast but did not partake since I was too busy. There were no hotels near the area that I had to travel back and forth from each day so this was the alternative.
