“Terrible and rude staff or owners”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2014 via mobile

The place looks like the ghetto and the staff is very rude. The pool is tiny.
Worst of the worst place to stay.
When the family saw this place they exclaimed without a doubt worst place we've ever been.
Location is Main Street and easy in and out. But everything else terrible.

It is very unfortunate that this hotel has a horrible staff, because the location is fantastic. My husband and I have stayed here 3 times in the last year. The 1st two to visit family, the last time because we are relocating to the area, and looking for houses. We have chosen this hotel every time because of location. (when we go on vacation we like to park, and then walk every where,) The 1st time we stayed there we had no issues. Room a little old but no big deal. The second time they made us leave a $20 deposit (we thought it was because we had asked for a smoking room but they had none so they could make sure we did not smoke in the room) and the lady at the front desk was VERY RUDE. When we checked out, she refused to give us back our deposit, with no real reason. This last time we stayed there (beginning of this month, June 2014) when we checked in it was pretty late. At 1st a real sweet younger girl was helping us, then she needed help from her mom. oh no, here comes the VERY RUDE lady from last time. We are told again "no smoking room available" she asked for a $20 deposit. My husband says "are we gonna get it back? last time you would not give it back." She then says, "Then why are YOU here?" I was FLOORED. My husband and I are the kind of people who go to the same places all the time. We ALWAYS get to know the employees, and they always love us. We are always very friendly, and have never been treated this way. I can not believe Americas Best has let this go on with their name on the building.

I travel a lot for work, and have stayed in some real dives, but this was the worst. The room reeks of mold and cigarette smoke, the deadbolt had been been busted off the door, two of the three lamps in the room were busted, the ancient tv got about 4 channels, no clock in room, tile in bathroom was cracked and broken. I could go on but you get the point. No matter how cheap it is, DO NOT STAY HERE! This place should be shut down. Or maybe just demolished. Avoid at all costs.

We stayed here while passing through down to the Kings Canyon and I can honestly say I had a horrible nights sleep. There was noise until about 3am and I thought there was a party outside the door. The rooms are dated but they are clean and the shower was hot. Far too over priced!

This place is dirty, smelly, full of stains on the walls and doors. No face towels, bath towels had basicaly no threds left, bathroom moldy and dirty. I swear that my bed sheets and pillow cases were not washed. No hair drier only wires sticking out of the wall. The outside hallways are fool of stains smells of urine. Internet kept disconnecting. I asked for an extra blanket and I was told by a rude staff to turn the heat on. No extra blanket. The stink of the room was unbearable. This was the worst hotel ever that we stayed at. We could not wait long enough to leave the next day as fast as possible.
This place should be shut down. Stay away. We did not feel safe in this place.
