My cousin and I stayed here Thursday - Friday for our annual cousin's retreat. She flew in from Idaho and we used Visalia as our home base for visiting family, relaxing and catching up . We arrived early evening, opened the door (we had the 3rd floor suite which faced west) only to be hit by a wall of heat instead of a cool welcoming environment. We chose the suite so we would have a comfortable area for visiting, moving about & separate sleeping accommodations. Instead of settling into our room to visit as planned we turned on the AC in both rooms and escaped to the balcony to wait for it to cool down enough to be able to sit indoors which took a good hour. Upon checkout I told the clerk I understand keeping all of the rooms cool would not be necessary but reserved rooms should be cooled/heated before check-in so the accommodations are walk-in ready. The staff was nice, check-in very easy and the room clean, well appointed but just too hot to enjoy. Somewhat disappointing after waiting a year for our get-together.
