“Large rooms, hotel very average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2009

Plus: Spacious rooms, fridge in rooms, close to downtown, free parking, free wireless internet

Minus: bathroom (small, no window, sink outside room), the room smelled a bit like an old attic, a little noise from the next door pub (but not very loud, and it was a Friday night, and the rooms facing the other direction wouldn't have this problem), breakfast wasn't very inviting (we took one look at it, and decided to eat elsewhere).

It can be taken as an example of good budget chain hotels: nice, clean, homey, with all the necessary facilities it's good value for money - we'd be glad to stay there again.

Way too much money for what you get. Desk personnel offered us a "jacuzzi" room, saying it was the only thing she had, and oh it's such a treat. (she's making an assumption that 'jacuzzi tub' is like dangling a carrot in front of us)

In retrospect, this had to be BS, as there's a lot of hotels in and around downtown Visalia and I really doubt this place was full, as it's a 4 story hotel amongst other multiple storied hotels.

Room has a jacuzzi tub alright, *in a corner of the bedroom*. Sooo tacky. Recently recaulked around the edge very sloppily for your pleasure. And for some reason she put us in the accessibility room, with all sorts of features for wheelchairs. But there is a jacuzzi tub in it by god. Oh and a regular tub in the bathroom as well, which is the one a disabled person would use since it has handholds. So, does it make sense that there's a jacuzzi next to the bed?? No, ick.

This Comfort Inn Suites is right across from the Visalia Convention Center. We loved the design of our room: a TV for each of us! the toilet & shower are enclosed in a separate area that divides the total space so that it forms rather a two-room suite. Lots of room for toiletries and clothes to be placed. Quiet at night (though there is a bar at the back-ask for a front room). It's within easy walking distance to all manner of restaurants, so you don't need to use a car. Staff was friendly, breakfast was plentiful and there was lots of room for us to sit down, contrary to many of the overcrowded breakfast areas we have found elsewhere. Would definitely stay here again.

What a find. A proper downtown hotel at motel prices. When it says suites, it does mean a separate sitting area with second television, small sink, fridge etc. Breakfast is served in a separate proper sized dining area, and very unusually at these prices with cooked offerings. For dinner, the excellent Brewbakers brewpub and restaurant is just round the corner. Fully recommend a stay here.

Stayed here 1 night while visiting Sequoia N.P. no complaints front desk was great popcorn in lobby one of the best hot breakfasts we've had. Parking in a gated garage. Visalia has a lot of dining options. Have stayed at Three Rivers, but Three Rivers while much closer to Sequoia, has very little to offer as far as dining.

This place is the best value for the price! Staff is friendly and accommodating. Rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Towels are thicker than you'd expect. The breakfast is awesome! You get covered parking, a microwave, fridge and wetbar sink, and basically 2 rooms. Great restaurants and shops are within walking distance. The rooms facing Acequia St. are very quiet. I'm definitely staying here again!
