The desk clerk was elderly and seemed unable to handle his job - very confused. He gave us room keys to the wrong room, which we entered alone, and shrugged off his mistake. ROOM WAS VERY DIRTY. PHONE AND PEEPHOLE BROKEN. ROLLAWAY UNUSABLE, DUE TO BROKEN SPRINGS AND FILTHY MATTRESS/BLANKET.

Room Tip: Don't stay here at all, in any room.

I read all the reviews before I booked this room. After I checked in, I came back to this site to double check - either the other reviewers don't expect much or I got the worst room in the place. First, the room stunk like dirty socks (13 year old boys dirty socks). Must the be room they allow pets to stay in. The tub was painted with some kind of yellow refurbishing covering and poorly done plus there were unidentifiable blue stains all over it. All of the (wooden?) furniture was OLD - scratched, and cracking. Walls haven't been painted in what looked like years. The television was the worst - horrible picture - dark and RED with no way to adjust it. Pillows flat as pancakes.... The drapes and bedspread were in good shape though. I did not find the desk clerk friendly at all.

We needed a hotel that accepted pets. There were only 2 in Visalia, gateway to the Sequoias. This one was very clean, crisp white bedding, great shower, easy & effective heater. The web site photos are actual of this property. Don't expect marble floors and thick fluffy towels, just clean and simple.

good for two nights, that staff Marisa and the other woman friendly,
make sure that you bring your own hair dryer, our room didn't have one, the other room was not working.
we had no-somking rooms, but it had an odore like a smoking room.

the morning snacks need to be improved, not just the some old thing, for the price.

thank you

we stayed here after our trip to sequoia national park.
nice place. Clean and comfortable with a pool. not too many people and close to an area with restaurants and shops.
good if you are on a trip around California.
breakfast is essential but ok.

We stayed there before and after visiting Sequoia Ntl. Park and we were very satisfied. This hotel is one of the less expensive to stay and the room was perfect for us: it was clean, we had a fridge, TV, A/C... It is not easy to reach if you don't have a car; we took a taxi (15$) to get from the bus station to the Super 8. We were going to Sequoia by bus with the Sequoia Shuttle and the bus stops at the Hampton Inn, which is just beside the Super 8 Hotel. The breakfast isn't really big (bread, pastries, cereals, milk, coffee and orange juice), but it is better than nothing! There's a computer in the lobby with Internet for free and the staff has been very accommodating.
