“Amazingly cute organic cafe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013 via mobile

Tazzaria has excellent food. I had a great sandwich and incredible macaroon! I had great service and the atmosphere was so quaint. They now serve dinner. Anxious to try it!

“Very nice setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

Very nice place to hang out with friends. Attractive setting with much more space to sit compared with the Starbucks down the street. Had breakfast with friends which was very good.

“One-of-a-kind local gourmet deli serving a variety of fresh and delicious food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

I love Tazzaria! It has been my favorite lunch or breakfast spot for years and I am finally getting to a review. There is nothing else like it in Visalia. The salads and sandwiches are fresh, made with the highest quality ingredients, and best of all delicious. They have a great menu and always have daily specials to mix things up a bit. This is not a fast food restaurant, but you can get in and out in an hour lunch break. The restaurant is small, but it adds to it's charm.

My favorite lunch item is the Italian Job-fresh, crispy bread filled with Italian meats, provolone, banana peppers, lettuce, tomato, and vinaigrette.

I love that they are a local restaurant and that you can see them carting back many of their fresh items from our downtown Farmer's Market. They are also a certified green business, which is nice to support.

Bon Apetite!

“Pricey lunch for what you get”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2012

Husband and I were in downtown Visalia, and since we were one shop away from the Tazzaria, we decided to stop in for a sandwich. It was well after the noontime lunch rush and the line to order at the register was short, seating available, so things looked good to stay, Husband and I planned to share a sandwich, and he ordered the "Italian Job" sandwich, two bags of chips and no special drinks, just two glasses of water. Cost for the hard toasted 6" open-faced sandwich (open faced as result of an ill-cut sliced roll ) was $17.00. Meat & cheeze, lettuce & tomato, nothing spectacular about the portion size or taste, although it did come with a small side of very colorless plain pasta. Also please note that if you say you;re going to share a sandwich, you will be charged an extra $3.00 for slicing the sandwich and giving you an extra plate. We also agree that the staff are not especially friendly, but then again there's not a big expectation for service, since aside from placing your order at the register, the only other contact with staff is when they bus the order to your table. We did not order anything from the pastry case, but the selection did seem unusually good. With all the competition on Main for casual, fine dining and coffee houses, truly don't think we'll ever return to eat at the Tazzaria, just not that special for what they charge.
