“Lucky stop at Thai Basil”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

We didn't know the place or recommendations. We were hungry after a day at Sequoia Ntnl Park. After a quick look at the menu and the restaurant mood, we decided to stay.
The owner/manager was very helpful and kind suggesting the menu and combinations.
We tasted 4 dishes and all of them really delicious (Soup, Pineapple Shrimp Curry, Pork Spiced Fried Rice, Combined Noodles).
Service and food really good.

“Overall, lives up to its reputation as submitted by other reviewers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013 via mobile

Excellent place for a vegetarian.
Although limited in choice as some if the dishes are pre prepared with fish sauce, still worth going to.
Staff were friendly, would tailor the dish for you Andrew you feel welcome.

“Small, Easy to Miss Location, BUT Don't Miss If You Love Thai!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

We stopped in after a day of hiking at Sequoia National Park. We were staying in Exeter, which had very little variety for dinner. We drove on into Visalia looking for food and pulled into the first mall-looking place that we came to. We didn't want fast food, which was in abundance, so we drove completely around the place until we saw a small restaurant that was indiscrete-looking. We were famished, so decided to try it. it was about 5pm on a Monday, first week of June. The place had limited seating, I think about 8-10 tables, maybe a bit more (there was a big party of around a dozen people in the center, so it was hard to estimate). We ordered the Thai tea (yummy), and Chicken Pad Thai for me, and chicken fried rice for him. The wait was long for our food, but I think it was only because of the big party, because once they were gone, people who came in later only waited a few minutes. Our food arrived some 20-25 minutes later and it was totally worth the wait. I have never had such piping hot, fresh-tasting food ever. The noodles were awesome and I devoured the dish like it was nectar. We tasted each other's dishes and were unanimous with our decision about this being the best we had ever had.

“One of the bad restaurant experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

Food quantity is meagre, no rice with entrees, very late service and worst of all does not ask for the choice of drink. Just forces icy lemon water on you. Thank God that there are better Thai restaurants in this land!
