“Hampton Inn Visalia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

We stayed at this hotel because we were going to the sequoia national forest. The location was convenient with lots of restaurants close. Staff even provide printed list of local restaurants broken down between those that deliver and those that don’t. The lady doing the breakfast put out great effort assisting me with finding something I could safely eat due to my many food allergies. The location is great and the Area was very quiet even though right off the highway.

Very loud freeway noise! Even after requesting a room away from the freeway, the clerk w/the blue finger nail polish assured me it was a quiet room! VERY DISAPOINTING!! Mattress had no support; loud air conditioning blowing in your face when in bed. Have had much better! And I'm a Hilton Honors member, guess that has no value!

This is a standard Hampton in every sense of the word. Most of the stuff was upto Hampton standard and very uniform with what you would see in any other Hampton. the room was OK and cleanliness was good. breakfast was standard.

Staff were very nice and helpful. breakfast was standard. check in and out was smooth.

the one thing that the management could look at (however, i must be fair in saying that i did not bring it to their notice) is the quality of the pillows and the towels - they look a bit worn out and frayed at the edges. not the usual Hampton standard.

The location was ok - just off the highway. there is an applebees just across the highway - walking distance.

everything else in this place is OK. overall good place.

My son and I tagged along on a business trip with my husband, and stayed here for about 5 days.

The room was clean (2queen for about $100/night), and even tho right in front of the elevator was quiet. Everyone I dealt with was so very nice.

They have an evening continental dinner several nights a week. Usually soup and Otis Spunkmeyer cookies. At one of these dinners, I asked if there was water served, and was told "no" but handed a complimentary Dasani from the snack bar behind the reception desk. Breakfast is amazing - better than Any hotel I've ever been to! Loved it! Coffee always ready no matter the time of day.

My husband said every Hampton is the same quality no matter where you go, unlike some hotel chains that vary from location to location.

Thank you Hampton Inn!

We came up to visit family so we tried the Hampton Inn. We were looking for a good value and hopefully a nice hotel since the Marriott was booked up. We also didn't want to pay Marriott prices. We had a really good experience here. The interior of the hotel is nice, they serve free breakfast, our room was very nice and comfortable. We found the room for $124 at hotels.com and then the hotel gave us a lower AAA rate of $111. Management staff was very nice to deal with and they offered us a quick room away from the freeway and away from the elevator without our asking. Our room had newer looking modern furnishings with a desk, enclosed small refrig, microwave, coffee maker with coffee and a king size bed. The bed was very comfy with a soft duvet and so were the pillows. I have a big thing about hotel beds and pillows since they usually give me a back or neck ache. No aches here! The bathroom looked completely renovated with a contemporary shower, granite countertop at sink, and lots of counter space. I didn't give the hotel a 5 because they were not great at answering the hotel phone when we tried calling several times and the room did not have any kind of safe for valuables so we had to take the ipad and a little jewelry with us when we left the room. We'll stay here again next month.

Room Tip: If they don't offer first, ask for a room away from the freeway and elevator. Those areas/sides...

Great place to stay. Very friendly, helpful staff from the front desk to the maids and everyone in between! Clean room. Great breakfast served until 10am. Free, fresh cookies, apples, oranges available during day and night. We will definitely stay there again.
