A relatively new Hampton Inn. It has the large "suite rooms" great for families of 4 or the claustrophobic who don't like tiny rooms with 2 beds and a chair. Better food service than most.
Terrific, friendly staff who go out of their way. (Special mention to trainee Tony who took time to print out directions to the Kings Canyon Park entrance, since the Sequoia entrance has construction and huge delays.) If you are an In and Out Burger or 5 Guys Burgers fan, check out The Habit, a southern California chain about a mile away. It's super!

Room Tip: Get the suite, it's not much more money.

This is our third year touring the US and after a long day driving or walking in the national parks we have learned the importance of having a reliable hotel to look forward to, which doesn't involve lugging cases up a flight of stairs at the end of a block in a parking lot.

Wehave found that Hampton Inns are always reliable, convenient and competitive. This hotel was brilliant! All the usual Hampton amenities on site, comp breakfast, pool, 24 hour drinks/fruit/cookies. We had booked a study suite so had plenty of room for the two nights we
were there. The welcome letter and complementary water were nice touches as was the call to
the room to ensure that we had everything we needed on arrival. The staff were friendly, the
place was spotless and the breakfast area was being constantly replenished and cleaned. The pool was pleasant with shade available all day in one are or another.

The hotel is convenient for sequoia national park and a good base for the area. Hotel location is
quiet with plenty of choices for eating within walking distance. Applebees was just around the
corner.

Be careful when booking a night via the hotel's own website. When you enter the date on the first page and click the "go" button, you reserve a stay for the date of booking and NOT for the day you entered. I noticed this only when I arrived. Fortunately, there were plenty of rooms available, so the concierge said he would change my reservation date accordingly. Nevertheless, my credit card was charged twice, once for the night I stayed and once for the date when I booked. I reported this error to the customer service, but they insisted on the charge for the first night as a "no show" - even though I could reproduce the error of the homepage and sent them screenshots to proof this. I then suggested (in two emails) to pay a reduced price, since I only caused the costs for breakfast and cleaning once, but the customer service didn't even reply.
The hotel itself was fine and I had a quiet night in a clean room. In spite of this, I will not stay there again and I can't recommend it due to the experience I made.

I got a great last minute deal here for a weekend night room (under $100). The hotel is kept well. The drawbacks are the hotel itself is a little hard to find and the refrigerator made noise at night which kept me up. The breakfast was great especially with the selection and the area to eat in was large. There are a few basics near the hotel such as an Applebees and a Walgreens. This is a good hotel for a quick stop for on the way to or from Sequoia National Park as you can easily get to the park from here in a short amount of time. This hotel is not too far off Highway 99 so it is also a good choice if you need a place to stay and are traveling north-south as it is only a few minutes out of the way.

The hotel was newer, clean rooms and one of the best choices near Sequoia National Park which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff was very helpful and we enjoyed the continental breakfast each morning. the beds were comfy and the noise level was good since we slept well after our trek to the Sequoias. The pool and spa area looked clean and the exercise room was accommodating. We ate at Applebee's since we did not hear any recommendations for the other restaurants in town. A good location since you could take a bus to the parks if you did not want to drive.

Room Tip: Stay on the top floors to alleviate some noise.

This property is situated right off Highway 198, seems quite new, and has an extremely friendly and helpful management and staff. You need a car rather than walking in the heat to some nearby restaurants. The rooms of this generation of Hampton Hotels do not have a bathtub, only a shower (although very spacious) in all but a very few rooms so if you want a tub, put that in your room request. Wi-fi worked well. Breakfast was quite good with a wide variety of choices and plenty of seating. We noticed many tourists, including international ones, who were on their way to Sequoia Park or Mineral King. We would definitely stay here again.
