We stayed here for 3 nights for our Sequoia National Park trip. We were surprised at how modern and updated all the furnishings and amenities are. Breakfast was good and well stocked. Staff was also friendly. We were expecting some old, outdated hotel, but Hampton Inn did a good job with this one. Only things that I would note; 1. They need another waffle maker because one is not enough for the many guest in eating in the mornings. 2. Maybe a bigger gym. The gym was the size of a room. only 2 treadmills, but all brand new equipment. 3. Need a safe in the rooms, room 305 did not have a safe. 4. Need more different assorted donuts! I'm not a muffin man. Otherwise we were impressed with the affordability, comfort, and cleanliness. I didn't even find mold in the shower in room 305, I kept wondering if they just built this place!

This Hampton Inn is truly the tripadvisor #1 hotel in town!
The staff is friendly and extremely helpful and goes the extra mile for the guests.

The roooms are very clean and modern. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom is big.

The breakfast is delicious and offers a variety of cereal, even grits, eggs, hot breakfast, bread, fruit, yoghurt etc. The breakfast area is clean and there are enough tables.

The location is perfect for a day trip to Sequoia.

We just spent two nights at this Hampton Inn and will definitely come back if we are in the area again.

This is a well-appointed, stylish, brand new bargain hotel. The room itself is as nice as anything you'd find in all but the most expensive hotels in a big city. They didn't cut corners when they built this place. For example, the toilets are from Toto, a higher-end Japanese brand. It had about the nicest free breakfast I've encountered, short of something like a Courtyard by Marriott. The fact that it's brand new has a lot to do with it. What it's like in a few years, who knows. Visalia is a gateway to Sequoia, while Fresno serves the same purpose for Yosemite. Given that it's less than an hour to Fresno, I'd consider staying here as a jumping off point for both parks.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Visialia on our driving trip from San Fransisco to Las Vegas. We spend two nights there - with a memorable drive into the Sequoia National park. The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean and spacious and had all the facitlities that I would have expected. The bed was very comfortable - we slept really well on both nights. Breakfast was buffet style - plenty of hot and cold food with a very good choice. Overall, a very good base stop on our jouney as we headed across California. The hotel also has a pool - which didn't use, but it looked very welcoming!

Stayed here one night on our tour of northern California. Was very impressed with the hotel and the town of Visalia. Booked the 2 queen room on the Hampton website and got it for $130. Very clean and comfortable and friendly desk staff. We overlooked the 198 which might have been noisy had we not had the air-con on all night. Breakfast was a simple affair in a clean and spacious room off the main lobby. Free tea and coffee were available here all day, and there were vending machines on all floors. (I think there was a microwave and fridge in the bedroom.)

Free internet - one of only two places on our tour. Hotels need to start providing this as it is now as much of a service as a TV or fridge.

Too far from town to walk which was a shame because Alejandra's mexican had a fine selection of tequila.

Would stay there again.

Our room was clean, spacious and a great price. Breakfast was convenient and very good. As other posters mentioned, you also have the option of taking your breakfast to go. The location is close to Sequoia National Park. We literally drove from North San Diego county to Visalia, checked in and drove to Sequoia National Park. We went about halfway through the park, turned around and drove back to Visalia in time for dinner. We would definitely stay here again!
