Our initial positive impression quickly disappeared. We arrived for an early dinner. At least 2/3 of the tables were empty. We were seated next to the restrooms. I don't know what we did to deserve that, but spending the whole evening watching people come out of the restrooms set the tone.
The appetizers: Bacon wrapped shrimp was dry and cold. Baked brie had large chunks of apple that overwhelmed the cheese. And, it was cold. A risotto or something rolled into cold mush balls and whatever flavor was there was completely overwhelmed by the sauce.
Dinner: My wife had the butter nut squash ravioli and I had chicken parmesan. They both suffered the same infirmity. The centers were tasty and moist. The edges were overcooked to the point of being tough and chewy. I don't know of any way that happens except too much time in a microwave. The chicken sat on top of a pile of cold spaghetti. One of our group had the calamari steak and said it was good.
I didn't care for the red sauce. It was strong and overpowering. But, that is subjective and chef's choice.
The wine list was thin, the wine served warm.
The only saving grace was our server, Jessica. She was great. Professional, helpful, patient and pleasant.
