“Laid back relaxing weekend!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

We were hoping for leaf color but were couple of weeks too early - that being said the mineral baths are quite nice! Suggest you get in them early (between 9:00 and 11:00) to catch the strongest velocity, noticed that once they filled up didn't seem to bubble as much. Everything is simple, nice and rustic, clean and relaxing - the mineral hot tub was also quite nice; Great plants on the grounds and the accommodations are simple but clean and pleasant - comfy beds, privacy and the view from the mountain room was very nice. Overall, a great base camp for hiking, dinners in Ukiah are great (YOU MUST TRY THE UKIAH PILSNER at the Ukiah Brew house!!) Def served the purpose of helping to shake off the 100 hour work week. We'll go back sometime for sure!

Room Tip: Mountain view is not a huge mountain, the river view rooms are closer to the tubs, but its not the l...

“So relaxing, so different, so fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

Just returned from our second trip to Vichy Springs. The place is magical. We took our kids both times and they had a blast, although I think this would also be a very romantic site for a couple. If you want to completely unwind, relax, and unplug, this is the place to be.

The free continental breakfast is plentiful and beautiful. They do a nice job with the variety, the fresh fruit, the delicious baked goods... and the healthy foods too.

My husband and kids got massages onsite, and all reported that they were wonderful. My husband actually marvelled that it might have been his best massage ever.

The accommodations are comfortable. We rented a 2-bedroom cottage with kitchen both times, which was perfect. We used the onsite bbq (tools, lighter fluid, wood provided) and dined outside on the green lawn, watching the wild turkeys. There are plenty of picnic tables, but we also had a table on our private deck and in our cottage.

The rooms are not luxury, but they are clean, updated, and very comfortable.

The pool, tubs, and hot tub are of course the main attraction. We spent hours lazing around them.

And we went on great hikes around the property--found another mineral spring, saw the waterfall, and had fun with frogs and newts in the waterfall pool.

What I liked so much about Vichy is there is so much to do, and also nothing to do. You choose your amount of activity based on what you feel like. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway--any time of year. It's really magical.

Room Tip: We prefer the cottages so we don't have to leave the property to eat meals.

“Clean, beautiful and relaxing...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Recently went to Vichy Springs. The place is beautiful and quiet. A perfect place to recharge and feel rejuvenated. The room was clean and spacious. There is no TV but they have WIFI. No need for TV anyway when you can watch deer & turkey TV!!! The mineral baths were magical and lived up to the name champagne baths. The massage was heavenly. The staff was very nice and friendly. The breakfast had a nice variety of foods. I will definitely go back.....

“Beautiful relaxation in the land that time forgot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

I had a weekend between business meetings in San Jose and decided to drive north. I was delighted to find Vichy Springs. it's quaint but clean and modern (turn of the last century stone tubs, no TVs but WiFi everywhere!). It was peaceful beyond belief and I had the most relaxing day on their property. Started with a continental style breakfast...nothing hot here but plentiful fruit and carb selections. Next up was a morning hike escorted by Blue, the hotel dog. Then to the mineral bath followed by a hot tub and swim in the pristine Olympic sized swimming pool. I was a woman traveling single but never felt alone. The owner took the time to give me suggestions on where to visit and the other guests were inclusive and welcoming. i travel on average 2 x a month - oftenstay in 4 and 5 star properties. I'm picky....and I'd be happy to return to Vichy Springs tomorrow. Wished I could have stayed longer.

“Love this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

This place is unspoiled and very special. The benefits of the mineral spring water are notable. Have been going out of way way to get there whenever visiting the bay! An immense feeling of well being washes over you after 2 hours of soaking in the mineral water. Highly recommended!
Not a place for people who enjoy hovering rather a one on one nature experience!
