“Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2006

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and were pleasantly surprised. Everyone was very friendly. The hotel is clean and nicely decorated. There is a nice pool and jacuzzi in a courtyard area which we could see from our balcony. The rooms were fairly quiet. There were 2 sinks one in the bathroom and one outside the bathroom. There was a television, coffee maker, and hairdryer. There was a free continental breakfast and nightly manager's wine and cheese tasting. There was a washer and dryer and a small exercise room. My only complaints were there was a slight musty smell in the room but we tried to air out the room and the toiletries were not the best quality.

My husband and I were traveling from Oregon to San Francisco and stopped at the Hampton Inn. We would not have stayed if we had known it was located immediately next door to an active saw mill. The noise was extremely disturbing. Our bathroom must have had a leak because the mildew smell was so strong. We complained to the man at the reception desk but he was not helpful. He did not offer another room just said he couldn't do anything about it.
The location is terrible next to a saw mill and across the street from WalMart.
We will not return and do not recommend this chain.

Not to sound snobbish but when my husband and I normally travel we try to avoid the chain hotels as they are not as nice as the more elegant Inns, etc. But was I ever nicely surprised at our stay here! For 40 dollars more you get a larger room with fireplace and a jacuzzi hot tub right in your living area. Then a separate bathroom w/ tub and shower. The rooms are so clean, very nicely decorated..you can tell there cleaning crew take extra time for details!

The free continental breakfast has so many choices, biscuits w/ gravy, scrambled eggs, pastries, bagels, cereal, juices, etc.

Check out was easy as you can do so on your t.v. in your room...

The next time we are in this area will will definitely be staying there again..I give it 4 stars!

Best Hampton Inn that I've ever stayed at. Very clean, great staff and an above-average continental breakfast in the AM.
