“a good night sleep”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

We stopped here for one night as we travelled the 101. The staff were very helpful and went beyond what we expected. The room was large and the breakfast was what u would expect. No problems at all. Easy access from highway nd close to amenities.

This particular Best Western Motel was exceptionally clean, neat, modern, and well organized. It was quite evident, in my view, that the manager, along with his/her staff, are taking great pride in keeping this facility ship shape! My room (#117) was well supplied with extra soap, shampoo ( in case you needed it) in addition to a modern flat screen cable t.v., refrigerator, and microwave. The King size bed was very comfortable and was provided with loads of pillows. Two night stands, + a very nice desk were part of the furniture. Plus a couple of huge mirrors and a VERY clean bathroom and a spacious shower area. Coffee was also provided as well. As a military retiree, they quoted me a price of $84 per night. Slightly higher in cost than some of the surrounding motels, but it was well worth it. Lastly, they also provide a great seating area for the continental breakfast they also provide with a huge flat screen t.v. In order to watch the morning news if you wish. All in all, a good value for you money.

Desk clerk noticed my cane and immediately pointed out that our booked room was upstairs and no elevator. He then got me a room downstairs near the pool. He also arranged for the lowest rate by comparing offers. Pointed us to a nearby restaurant. Very helpful!

Our family has come to trust in the Best Western experience for the quality of room. This one lived up to that. After checking out another inn we appreciated this one! Bonus was a bigger fridge than usual. The first desk clerk provided excellent service; the one who took over, not so much. He left us waiting for towels in the lobby in our bathing suits for at least 5 minutes. Could he not have put the caller on hold while he quickly got them for us? The breakfast was not up to BW usual standard. The hot food was cold & poor quality. I enjoyed the pool; the temperature was just right. Missed having an elevator.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms are quieter, just be prepared to haul your luggage up the stairs.

We spent the night here on our way down to San José. The room was comfortable. The kids were very disappointed with the pool. It wasn't heated and located on the east side (shady side) of the building, so they became cold quite quickly. There weren't enough towels for them to dry off. The pool area was noisy, too, as it is right beside the freeway. That said, the room (ground floor) was quiet and any traffic didn't bother us during the night. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for all of us (family of 5, with our youngest in a porta-crib). The Wi-Fi reception in the room wasn't very strong. Breakfast was typical and good.

Checked in here on a trip down CA. We had a lot of luggage and they offered us a smaller room than we'd booked on the lower floor because they have no elevator. We decided to stick with our original room choice when we were informed that the room was near a stairway. It was not and when we got there the toilets did not work. They moved us to another room on the upper floor, also far away from the stairs. Here the air conditioning did not cool adequately. The cooling fan kept cutting out every minute or so- high thermostat setting? There was no thermostat in the room to control the a/c. The parking lot was also pretty full and it was difficult to park close to an entrance. Positives- good breakfast, reasonable price, clean room. Negatives- problems with bathrooms, bad air conditioning. An average experience for Best Westerns.
