“Perfect venue for large family reunion”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2010

Our large family (105) held a 4 night reunion using all the Pine Rose Cabins and facilities. It couldn't have been more fun and reasonable. We used Hidden Creek Lodge for all our meals and meetings, the weather was perfect and all who came remarked how enjoyable the surroundings and cabins were. We spent a lot of effort searching for a proper venue to allow us to have freedom of activities and not be tied into the management's food and beverage rules and Pine Rose allowed us the flexibility necessary. We have over 35 years of experience in these events and Pine Rose has risen to the top of our desired sites.

We loved this place and had a wonderful stay. Our cabin was located close to the swimming pool and play area which was perfect for us as we have young children. The cabin was charming with great attention to detail. We cooked dinners and breakfasts in the cabin kitchen which was fully equipped and enjoyed being able to sit out on our deck to eat. We walked around the grounds to view the other cabins and had fun choosing which one we might stay at next time. You really get a feeling of being in the woods!

Arrived at Pine Rose Cabins on Tuesday. They are having a Pine Cone Festival in a few days, and we came to hunt for big pinecones and to get away from the hustle and bustle. We are staying in #9 the Betsy Ross. The cabin has a full kitchen, microwave, coffeemaker, and full fridge. We have an awesome wood burning fireplace that is in front of the bed and we are loving it! Bought wood from Cabin store. Alittle expensive at $7.00 a bundle. The bundle is small, is pine, burns beautifully but goes quickly---we like the fire lit the entire time we are "home." This is the only fault I have with place.

We have found in general that the people up here in the mountains are SOooooo nice. Yesterday, we ate at Rocky's on a recommendation. I had a sandwich called "The Rottie" It was pastrami, horseradish cheese and coleslaw on one of the best grinder rolls I have ever had. It was huge and cost $8.99 (fair price for what you got). This place has GREAT coleslaw!!!! Little local busy place and worth checking out for sure!

Found some great pinecones on our hunt. Some right on turn-offs on windy road! We went down to Running Creek (on advice of a guy in camo walking around some remote area we had driven down) he told us to turn down School Road. Went way back to the end of the road and went up a dirt road (kinda backroading would have been better if we had a four-wheel drive). Found some coulter pines up there. They are huge! (will try to attach a picture) Also, went up to Bear Spring Road and collected a lot of Sugar Pines. Smell really good---really big and long -- some 19".

Nice area, relaxing. Would have gotten a cabin a little more in the property as we are right on the road and there is some school traffic and firehouse traffic, but not unbearable. First night heard something that sounded like snorting. Have come to the conclusion the cabin is haunted or a bear was outside (OH MY GOD!) LOL

This is an economical, clean, friendly good place to stay!

We stayed in a large cabin the "Ponderosa" June 2009. There were four large rooms and three bathrooms. All rooms and living area and kitchen were clean. It became our home away from home the week we were there. We were four families with children ranging in age from 13 years to 8 months old. A total of 7 adults were in our family get together. The location was great between Lake gregory and Lake Arrowhead. The staff was very nice. The pool on site was cool and refreshing. The backyard required some attention. There is a local Supermarket and stores about 10 minutes away if you forget an item or two. We plan to revisit and stay at the same place again next sumer. We had a great time and look forward to many more Great Times to come.

I was looking for a cabin inn like this around the Crestline area. The place I stayed as a child was no longer in decent shape, so I found Pine Rose on this site and through Google. We needed a two bedroom cabin, but they were sold out for the weekend. A very nice lady named Linda offered us one of their four bedroom lodges at a reasonable rate, so we took it. The Ponderosa lodge was very roomy with a great yard and comfortable furniture. Our Golden Retriever was welcomed in that cabin, so we had a true family vacation. The family bonding was great, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended.

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Rustic Romance cabin for two nights for her birthday. The jacuzzi was wonderful and the fireplace was right next to it which set the fantastic ambiance of the room. The staff was super helpful and theres an italian restaraunt that delivers and the food is delicious. The only complaints we had were that the shower heads could be better and the guest book had some inappropriate comments from previous guests about their stay which was gross.
We will be going back :)

My family went to Pine Rose Cabins for a Wedding. The cabin we stayed in was wonderful and very clean. It was roomy enough to invite other family members over for an evening of homemade dinner made in the cabins kitchen. The wedding grounds were beautiful and made for a spectacular wedding setting. We were also able to visit the lodge that the wedding party and family had used. It was roomy and would be great for big occasions. We were so happy we plan on going back many times. We already have another trip planned!! Highly recommended!!
