“Every member of the family savored their breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

This place is one of a kind. Gluten-free muffins (the best I ever had!), breakfast burritos, glorious pastries, great coffee, super-friendly and patient staff. We were so impressed with the breakfast that we ordered lunch for the road, too! I got the hot pastrami on gluten free rye bread - wow!!! Absolutely heavenly!

“scrumptious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2013

Try the breakfast burrito, out of this world. The best coffee in California. We turned up, miles off course, looking for directions, the staff were outstanding in their efforts to help. 5 * service

“Yummy Homemade Items”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2012

Go for breakfast or lunch. It's so difficult to make a decision of what to order because everything is great. Stop on your way to ski at Dodge Ridge for an early breakfast. They are open early.

Or stop for lunch or have one to go for a picnic up the hill. Lunch choices are all great from croissant sandwiches that are heated or make your own sandwich with many choices of breads.

Don't forget to take a look at the pastry items in the case, if you go there you will see, they all look great!

“"Sugar Shack...That's where it's at"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2012

If you're ever in the Mi Wuk Village/Sugar Pine area in California you must go by the Sugar Shack. They make the most sinful pastries & croissants. The first time I went there I had a cinnamon roll and it was big and had alot of delicious icing on it. This time I had a Blackberry Muffin...unfortunately it only had a couple pieces of blackberry at the bottom of the muffin but the actual muffin tasted like the sweet cornbread my elementary school cafeteria served back in the mid 1960's. I also ordered a ham & cheese croissant to go...it was ginormous and filled with ham, ooey-gooey cheese & it even had a cheese skirt. It was scrumptious. The staff are extremely friendly and it's one of those places where everybody knows everyone. Put this place on your "bucket list" for sure!!! :)
