“Missing Zov's”

Zov's was one of our favorite restaurants for 25 years. Since moving to Arizona, we have not found a similar restaurant. Zov's was always consistently wonderful !

“Zovs Restaurant was a disappointment”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2014

Went to the restaurant and initially it was quite warm inside - wasn't sure I wanted to sweat for my higher end meal. The heat dissipated and we ordered our dinner, which was about $30-$40 a person with salad and entrée. There were four of us and the waitress got both the salad and entrée meal incorrect for the same person. The wrong salad was eaten, but the entrée was not. Three of us had to eat our fish or it would get cold while the fourth person watched. The fourth person got their food about 15 minutes later. My fish was good, the sauce tasty, but lukewarm rice and cold asparagus is not acceptable at these prices. We won't be back.

“Nice menu, but a little overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2014

Really good food, but feel like paying $18 for a lunch salad may be a little high. That being said, I find myself coming here for great baked goods and pastries regularly. Great cappuccino too!

“Different spin on food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2014

I went for appetizers & cocktails with friends. We all were highly impressed with the small salads & especially the different way they serve food there. We ordered Calamari - this is not your typical dish that is fried & served with Marinara sauce. Instead they're served in a creamy garlic sauce with croutons. Outstanding!

“Good, but not exceptional”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2014

Zov's is a Tustin fixture and has had a great reputation as a place to go for a special meal. I've been there three times now with one in the cafe and two in the restaurant. The cafe was outstanding . Excellent pastries and coffee. The restaurant i found unexceptional in every way. While the surroundings were pleasant, the food and the service was unremarkable. I went a second time to make sure that my first experience was not a fluke. We had fish and meat dishes and found neither anything special. Wish it had been different.
