“Great Value, Comfortable Rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

We have family in the area and end up visiting three or four times a year. We used to stay at the one star, discount motel next door but, the noise, clientele and lack of cleanliness drove us over the BW about six or eight years ago. We've never looked back. Never had a bad experience. And, we can bring our dogs - though we are VERY respectful of the property, clean up after them and follow all the lodge's rules about pets.

The service is always great and management at this BW makes sure that things never get out of hand.

Plus, over the years they keep remodeling and improving!

Room Tip: Their online reservation system has never failed us. Always the best available rates.

Been a couple years since my last visit. Was more than pleased to see the newly remodeled interior. Very nicely done. Always pleasant staff. Just a quick over nighter so didn't visit the lounge or breakfast.
Check your schedule as they will be remodeling the lounge real soon.

Arrived late after being on the road for 5 hours. Only room available was a handicapped unit which we gladly accepted. Room was clean and well decorated. You could feel a pride of ownership and desire to make the customer happy. We left a small tip for the housekeeping staff. Breakfast the next morning was more than we would have expected and the staff were very accommodating. The front desk staff were super nice and helped me to consolidate my 2 BW accounts.
Our only complaint, we like a heavier blanket but there were no extras in the room. We were too tired to call the front desk. I am certain they would have brought us an extra one if we had asked. Older hotels don't have enough electrical outlets on the bedside stands to handle all of todays electronics.
OVERALL, an excellent experience and we will return again if given the opportunity.

Everything was very nice. After seeing so many staircases on their website I called and requested first floor room. Upon checking in we were directed to first floor room near the entrance. Everything we needed, breakfast & laundry were near by.

Room Tip: No elevator so be sure to request first floor room if you have trouble getting luggage up stairs.

We checked in using a coupon from a booklet obtained at a rest stop. Nice stop after being on the road for two weeks. Room was like a brand new hotel. Check in process was a snap. They even had a luggage cart. I would stop there again.

I always stay at the Tulare's Best Western when I visit family. I find the rooms are very clean, beds are very comfortable, a small refrigerator is nice for keep drinks and food in, ice and other vending machines are available, air conditioning works, linens are nice, staff is exceptional, free breakfast is always hot and you have choices, laundry facilities, fitness center, pool and it has its own cocktail lounge that is open from 5 - 10 PM, lots of parking and very good for RV's and trailers. Easy location to get around town and next to freeway so it is easy on and easy off access. One thing important is that the freeway dips down below street level of the hotel so you do not hear the freeway noise as you would at the other hotels down the street. Price is very fair. The unfortunate part is it is a two-story and no elevator so if you are handicap or with an injury, request first floor.

Room Tip: Perhaps close to the front desk could be a little noisey or by a vending machine. Rooms opposite th...

Room was exactly as stated, including refrig and microwave. Clean, air conditioning work fine and wifi was easy to use. Breakfast had nice assortment. Stayed at a different hotel 1 block away that was more pricey but not as nice.
