“Better for the price!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

Room was exactly as stated, including refrig and microwave. Clean, air conditioning work fine and wifi was easy to use. Breakfast had nice assortment. Stayed at a different hotel 1 block away that was more pricey but not as nice.

I travel for business to this part of the California Central Valley almost every other month. This hotel is above board, it has very large and comfortable rooms. It is freeway close and there are three great restaurants in close proximity. The staff always makes me feel at home and is attentive to my every need.

I stay in the Visalia/Tulare area one weekend a month for school. I have stayed in 5 different hotels that are within the 2.5 to 3.5 star range. This BW was clean, quiet and they checked me in at 12:00 pm. The breakfast was good for the price. I booked the room through priceline and was not disappointed especially considering what I paid for it.

Room Tip: Spacious and room was next to parking lot but was quiet

This is a great deal. Had checked it out on line but didn't book, not knowing where we would end up. Room rate on line was only $69, and walking in was $79. The desk clerk almost matched the rate at $71.(plus tax) I could have taken out my phone and saved $2, but I was happy with the rate. She quickly registered us and handed us two 2 for 1 drink coupons and told us their bar now served food. We were very tired from our all day drive, so we settle for wonderful margaritas and the $3 hamburgers with fries. The food was more than adequate, the margaritas were top notch, and the bill was only $20. They only are able to cook a little food at a time, so if there is much of a crowd it could take quite a while. We were the only two when we arrived, so it didn't take long. The breakfast the following morning was HOT and delicious, with bacon, eggs, waffles, breads, pastries, fruit, juices, yogurt, and coffee all available. I figured with the money we saved by eating and drinking in the bar and the free breakfast, the room was more in the area of $40. This is a great Best Western and one of the best prices I have found at one.

We have stayed at this hotel about once every three months lately. It is an easy on, easy off to Hwy 99. Plus it is clean, with decent prices, and the staff have been great. The free breakfast is also good. And there is Apple Annie's restaurant just in the next block, within walking distance.

The BW in Tulare was average as a hotel. I travel and stay often at various places. This was my first stay at this hotel. The price was good but the hotel needs a few updates. There was nothing in particular wrong, just a couple insects in the hall and some construction in the parking lot.
I would probably stay here again but would consider a bit more money for a nicer property.

We appreciate taking the time to share your experience and choosing to stay with us even though we had construction during your stay. We do our best to limit the impact construction may cause on our guests yet at times it’s unavoidable. We’re encouraged that despite the inconvenience, you highlighted that we were priced well and would consider staying with us again. I’d like to share that the concrete work is complete and the end result is increased sidewalk accessibility for our guests. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
