“Great Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2010

We had never stayed in a Charter Inn before and didn't know quite what to expect. It was highly rated on several websites so we gave it a try and were very glad we did. The hotel was very comfortable and well maintained. Our room had all the necessary ammenities, including microwave, refrigerator, etc. and was very quiet and comfortable. There were a couple of large groups there and we were concerned that the hotel might be noisy, but we never heard a sound and got a great night's sleep. The free breakfast was excellent with a variety of hot items as well as the typical rolls and juice. Best of all, the hotel was very reasonably priced for a property listed as 3 diamonds by AAA. We would definitely stay here again and will look for other Charter Inns on future trips.

My family of four including a 16-year-old and a 6-year-old really enjoyed our overnight stay at this hotel. We chose it based on tripadvisor ratings and its location near Sequoia National Park. The room was clean and met our needs. The beds were comfortable. It had a very convenient guest laundry at reasonable prices. If I remember correctly it was a dollar for a wash load and 75 cents for the dryer. They had an outdoor pool and hot tub which my children enjoyed for an hour or so in the evening. Breakfast was quite nice and the dining area was comfortable.

I was really impressed with Charter Inn, Tulare. We stayed there for one night on our way from Yosemite to the Grand Canyon. The rooms were spacious with a big tv inc HBO and lovely toiletries in the bathroom (bath and bodyworks).
The rooms also have a fridge and microwave.
I also liked the fact there was a guest laundry with a wash costing just $1 and the dryer 75c. It was really handy to be able to do a washload halfway through our holiday.
The inn is just down the block from Preferred outlets which is a big outdoor mall with discount outlets for big brands including Calvin Klein, banana republic and gap.
All in all, a very nice little place to stay.
It also has free wifi and includes hotbuffet breakfast including bacon, eggs, waffles, cereals and pastries.

The room was fantastic- comfy bed, great pillows, spacious room and decent bathroom. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. For 64$US/night- we got a free pizza dinner (pizza, salad, cheese, crackers, non-alcoholic drinks) plus a hot continental breakfast in the morning. There were candy dishes all over the main lobby, a sitting area and a large screen tv where people were watching a baseball game. Very warm and inviting place.

We have stayed here twice in the last 5 mos. I can find no fault with it except that it is on a very busy street so you will hear street and freeway traffic if you are on the sides facing them. The rooms are fresh and clean and the bedding is that of a much higher grade hotel.Room amenities are way above average. We took advantage of the free evening meal and it was good with a bartender offering very reasonably priced drinks. The full cooked breakfasts are even better with a plethora of beverages and coffees. Top it all off with a tiny box of mints to remind us we need to go back next time business takes us there again. Love the Charter Inn and Suites and wish there were more locations.

This is an excellent hotel. Best Value for money. The front desk guy was very friendly, despite our late arrival. Clean everything. Very Good breakfast. Close to all the shopping.
Great midway point between Sequoia Nat Park , Yosemite Nat Park, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Charming a warm atmosphere. As someone said earlier, its all these little charming things that makes you remember this place. Definitely a thumbs up!
