My kids and i stayed one night...a lot of dust built up on the carpet and furniture when the lady at the front desk told me the room was just cleaned...stains on the sheets, good thing i brought our own blankets. The next morning waking up i had bites all over my arms and waist which itched like crazy; who knows what kind of bites they were but it was all red and swollen. AVOID THIS PLACE You will be better off going to motel 6 next door

NEed I say more. My family and I ended up driving 3.5 hours home at night because of the lack of care, concern and cleanliness of this so called hotel. The room stunk and was filthy. Cockroaches and other pests were in the bathroom and on hand walls. Front desk was rude and unhelpful. Worst stay I have ever had in a hotel. Awful experience and a bad weekend all because of the red roof inn.

Room Tip: Pick a different hotel. Extra $20 is well worth it.

We stayed there on our way to Sequoia National Park. Our room was over $70 per night!

1) The room was filthy. The floors were sticky, the sheets were stained. There was a random can of coke on the table.
2) The bathroom had someone's hair and a COCKROACH!!! It was neither alive nor dead, which freaked us out even more. It was laying in the corner of the bathroom, helplessly trying to move its feet, but not even able to roll.
3) For that price I feel like they could at least offer a simple continental breakfast.
4) To check in, I had to wait in line for at least 15-20 mins. At midnight!
5) Wi-fi never worked for any of our devices.

The overall impression is just very bad, I am never staying there again and avoid the chain all together from now on.

Room Tip: Do not stay there.

We arrive at this hotel about 10 mins after we are allowed to check-in only to be told rudely to come back in 15 mins due to a staff meeting being held in the Reception area. We get told this numerous times and after 40 mins both us and two other groups of new guests decide to invade the room and stand at reception until we get served. Not one apology for the staff. Very disappointing and the worst customer service during our 14 hotel stay around Western USA this summer. Our room was average, the bathroom was awful. I didn't know where to stand in the bath as it's main coating was peeling away under my feet. I actually had serious thoughts about waiting until I reach my next hotel to get a shower. Stayed here as it is only about 1 hour drive to Sequoia NP. IHOP, Burger King near by but go to Apple Annies for a great breakfast with a real family feel!

I would not recommend this place at all.
1) rooms not clean, found some food in ours
2) soiled towel
3) someone else's hair in our bathroom
4) our non-smoking room reeked of smoke
5) front desk staff couldn't care less attitude

Poor customer service. Our room was on the 2nd floor, the people that stayed on the 3rd floor was very noise. Call the front desk 8 times and they kept on giving the same excuse that they have called upstair to ask them to calm down. The phone was working and I told them about it but never came to fix it. They want us to move to another room in the middle of the night because they couldn't control they other guest and they want to move us to a smoking room when we reserve for a non smoking room. By the way, they wouldn't even let you finish your sentences and hung up the phone on their guest. I would never stay here again and if anyone want a good night sleep, don't come to this hotel. Service was not good and I end up get bites from sleep on this hotel bed.
