“FAMILY FIREWORKS IN TULARE”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We chose this hotel, due to its proximity to my moms house in Visalia. We were able to ck in early upon arrival. The lobby was very clean and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The room was a good size. One sofa bed in the main room. Child slept there. King size bed in next area. Rooms are slightly separated by extended walls. A/C is controlled by a wall switch, however the unit is under the window, by the bed and noticeable if not dead tired at night. It is off hwy 99, and the noise is apparent. We were on the third floor, the highest. Room was very clean, bed comfortable, a little on the soft side. Could use a 2nd row of drapes to obtain window light w/o opening up the blackouts. Tracking on Closet door but no door.. Bkfst included, hot eggs, round sausage patties, make your own waffles, bagels, toast, etc. Very good. Overall experience very good if staying for a short time, as we were. Several same types of hotels to choose from but not sure if u can avoid the hwy noise.

Room Tip: Maybe the lower floors hwy noise would be less. Did not use pool, but very clean.

This is a beautiful property. Unfortunately it is located very close to the freeway. The room that we were assigned the first night was so loud because of truck traffic that I could not sleep well. Front desk stated that there was nothing they could do. Second night I stayed on the opposite side of the hotel and it was much better. I would only recommend this property if you can confirm a room away from the freeway trafic.

Room Tip: Book a room away from the freeway traffic

What a great place. We were head to Northern Ca on the hwy 99 freeway and stop at this hotel for one night. The hotel is fairly new so everything is clean and functioning. We were granted an upgrade when checking in and found the room spacious, clean and equipped with a fridge, microwave and huge flat panel TV. The bathroom was large and very clean. I would stop at this hotel anytime.

The rooms and property are new and clean. No fridge or microwave. The location of this hotel makes it pretty loud on both sides due to being next to the 99 freeway. Breakfast is the typical free powdered eggs. This particular breakfast is a little below average as the eggs are really dry and always scrambled and the meat choice of paper thin ham was curious. Probably OK for 1 night, but I was there for 3. I prefer the Hampton on the other side of the freeway.

Room Tip: Both sides are loud.

Stayed only one night in Fairfield Inn Tulare, but this was a great hotel, probably the best out of our three week trip. Very new, clean, extremely friendly staff, and a great room. Would always come back here when in the region.

I was just staying for one night on points as this Fairfield is halfway between my client and where I live. The pictures on the net make it look nicer than it is. I chose this one over the Kingsburg Fairfield which requires fewer points, because it looked better, and further from the freeway. It wasn't either. So I used 2500 more points to stay at a Fairfield that wasn't as nice, nor further from the freeway.

Also, as a Platinum Elite member (200+ nts per yr), I was unable to upgrade to a suite. So it was a bed and a chair basically. Not very relaxing after a 10 hr. day of work, and 3 hrs of driving.

The young man at the desk was very polite and apologetic about there being no suites to upgrade to. The property was worn, the carpets filthy, and hallway/ guest room/ freeway noise was noticeable even with the TV on. I'll be returning to the Kingsburg Fairfield in the future. Live and learn...

Room Tip: This seems to be a workman's hotel by the trucks in the parking lot, dirty carpets, and noise le...

Recently, went on a 3 day vacation around California and stayed at Fairfield Inn all 3 nights. My last night was at this particular Fairfield in Tulare, CA. All was well till I visited my room and amenities I had come accustomed to were not present. Specifically a refrigerator and a microwave. These thing seem seem simple but was expecting them as part of my experience in my room. Call the front desk and they offered to try and look for an extra refrigerator and couldn't find one. Everything else was as expected of when I think of a room in this franchise. Overall I gave this terrible rating to warn others that your expectations may fall short at this location. Be weary travelers, and sleep well just somewhere else.

Room Tip: Try a different hotel in the area, it seems like you will find a better value.
