“Nice and cheap, but noisy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

It was a last minute booking in that hotel. The building feels new and clean. The bedroom was clean, but walls are pretty thin so it was noisy at times from the neighboors. Also my bathroom towel had a couple of very long dark hairs on it, not something you want to find when drying yourself after a shower.

I stayed at this property May 20, 2015. The reviews were very good. I was going to stay at La Quinta Visalia, Ca but because of the reviews and the breakfast menu was great including bacon and sausage I decided on this one. There was no bacon nor sausage and the fruit selection was apples. The A/C fan sounded like a thrashing machine when it was running. The clerk that checked me out didn't ask about my stay.
Cool Hand Luke, the steak house next door was very good.

Room Tip: The property is close to the freeway but the noise wasn't noticeable.

Excellent facilities. Close proximity to freeway and shopping and dining. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a variety of items to offer. Rooms were clean and eye appealing. Pillows were very comfortable. Will come back again and again.

This was the 3rd or 4th time I stayed at the LaQuita hotel in Tulare. Really appreciate the fact that they will let us stay with our dog. The room was neat & clean, with a nice little refrigerator. The microwave could not be used, as there was no turntable plate, but the staff kindly let me use the microwave in the pantry. The free breakfast was actually good- the scrambled eggs & sausages were tasty! The hotel is easy to find, and the Cool Hand Luke's restaurant is right crossed the parking lot if you enjoy a good steak. I recommend the hotel highly.

Our stay was Sunday May 3, 2015. We a queen size bed in the smallest room we have ever seen. Two people barely fit. We had just returned from la Quinta, North Tucson and had a much better room. Check-in was smooth. The room smelled like a wet dog, but after an hour with the air on it had cleared the smell. WIFI would not work on any of our devices and this La Quinta you had to dial outside for assistance.

We had to have Casey, front desk lady, come to the room twice to explain how to work the TV, Her comment was that the in room instructions were not correct.

Additionally the room seem to have paper thin walls as we could hear our neighbors very well.

So Casey was the bright spot and because of her we might return. The young man that did the breakfast was also very good.

Room Tip: Hotel is next to hwy 99 stay at the furthest distance.

La Quinta has become our default chain when traveling with the dog (pet-friendly at no charge). I selected their Tulare location based on drive time from home while still providing relatively quick access to Sequoia National Park the next day.

The room we got felt downright tiny. Otherwise, we enjoyed our night. While checking in, the front desk person could not have been more friendly and welcoming and the process was quick. Our room was on the ground floor right by the side entrance. This made it convenient for parking and for taking the dog out every now and then. The hotel is right off the 99 freeway, but we didn't have any problems with traffic noise.

Breakfast was enjoyable. It's always nice to be able to make a fresh waffle and top it with strawberry syrup and whipped cream. Breakfast sausage and scrambled eggs aren't necessarily things you find at all breakfasts, so that was nice. Dogs aren't allowed in the dining area, but they have tables in the lobby and we were able to have him by our side as we ate. There are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance if you need them.

Overall, I'm completely satisfied with choosing this place to start our trip.

This is a great location across from the Tulare Outlet Malls. The king room is outstanding. As you open the door you have a small sitting room (sofa, chair and coffee table) and bathroom to the left. In the center of the room is an built in island with a microwave on top, built in fridge and cupboard space. This island separates the sitting room from the bedroom. You have a nice flat screen tv, desk, under window counter and large king size bed. Room is immaculate and the linens fresh and clean. The attendant at the desk said breakfast is served from 5:50-9 a.m. FANTASTIC!

Room Tip: Second floor- ask for room 217
