“Updated, Upgraded, Free wifi”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2014

Stayed in this hotel for a business trip in July 2014.
The room was updated and updated with the latest business or high tech casual traveler.
The desk has a great adjustable chair and probably the best amenity is 5 extra 115 plugs AND had USB ports on the TOP of the desk! No rooting around behind the TV or something to find a spare outlet to charge the phone, the pad and a laptop.
Of note is the modern dark and matching (!) furniture, slick lamps, beautiful Large Flat screen TV and designer accents. Very nice. My room had the microwave, small frig and in room coffee machine. Great!
Bathroom had granite tops in the vanity area and modern, clean faucets and fixtures.
Bed had extra pillows and crisp linens. Very nice.
Breakfast room is very nice with the normal free breakfast travel amenities. 3 styles of coffee, juices, cereals, fruit, yogurt, cook to order waffles and sausage and eggs. All a bit higher level than most "value" motels.
The staff was very nice, efficient and pleasant. Just as it should be.
Ask for your AAA or AARP discount but be prepared to show your card!
I prefer the first floor on this 2 story property because for me, I prefer not to have to use the stairs.
SInce this is fairly close to Hwy 99, I ask for a room on the backside of the building to buffer the freeway noise. The windows are very good, I just prefer the back rooms.
WiFi is free and this place has quite a few wifi hotspots. This is great because you can choose the one that's the strongest and get online.
This is my go to motel when I travel in Tulare. It also has LOTS of food options close by. If you need to shop, The outlet mall is 1/2 mile away.
I did not use the pool or the workout room but I did want to mention them.
This is a NO SMOKING motel so if you need to, you got to go outside.
This is not a spa or resort style hotel.
What it is, is a way above average travel motel.
I WILL stay again.

Room Tip: Rooms along the back have less noise. Ask for AAA or AARP card rate if you have them.

My family and I have been staying at this hotel for a few years now and every time we come back, the place just keeps getting better! I've seen this place go through major rennovations and they've greatly improved the overall quality of staying at this hotel by a substanntial amount. The breakfast is always spot on delicious and filling. The staff is pleasant and helpful. And the rooms are cleaned very well. Location is right off the highway as well. Not really any downsides to this place. We'll be staying here for many years to come!

Location: Good location and close to the freeway
Hotel: A major downside is no elevator! The attendant was very friendly and willing to assist and delicious water was available at the entrance of the lobby.
Room: Nice and spacious room; bathroom was also very spacious and had some nice extras. Even though the room was non-smoking, there was a slight odor but it did not bother us. Nice bedding and comfortable bed. Room included all the regular conveniences such as micro, frig, iron/board, hairdryer, closet.
Breakfast: Good breakfast; eggs, sausage (kind of), tater tots, small muffins, waffles, yogurt and the usual.
Amenities:outdoor pool and no workout room

Room Tip: There is no elevator so try to request a room on the first floor.

We stayed for 2 nights because it was a cheaper rate than other similar hotels in the area. The room is quite spacious with 2 comfortable queen sized beds and a couch in a semi separated seating area. Mini fridge and microwave were bonuses. Fitness facility and pool were open and adequate - everything is very clean.

We walked to a variety of area shops and restaurants - most things are within a mile of the location. The Outlet stores are close and open at 10am. Only room tip would to ask for one facing the back of the hotel, as ours is on the front and we have lots of streetlight peeking through the edges of the curtains. Also of note is that there is no elevator, so ask for a first floor room if this is a problem. Free breakfast and wi-fi are also appreciated. All in all, this is not the nicest Comfort Suites that I have stayed in, but the bathroom and bedding renovations are nice and I would stay again.

The rooms were nice and clean especially for the price. WIFI was free but often cut in and out of service. The first room we were given was very hot when we arrived. We turned on the AC but it must not be working. Staff quickly moved us to a different room. Continental breakfast was provided. Everything was good except the watered down OJ and rubbery sausage.

I would definitely stay again.

Spent the night here in early June. Room was hot when I checked in with slight smell. 30 minutes of a/c and ventilation cured that. Nice bed and room. Good breakfast. Staff was friendly, helpful and available. Parts of the building needed attention/upgrade, but the room was nice.I would definitely stay again.

Hotel was very clean and had updated TV and bathrooms. Very good for the price with an outlet mall a few blocks away. Two negatives, the front desk staff and non-working internet. The front desk clerk ignored me for several minutes ( yes I am standing here) while staring at the computer screen. All that was needed was a quick be right with you. She was abrupt and the room was not ready at 5:50 at night. When I expressed surprise she called a member of the cleaning crew who told her a room was ready. She had to call back two more times because she kept forgetting the room number? There was what looked to be a strong internet signal but I was never able to successfully log in. I'd stay here again for the location and price but I encourage the manager/owner to refresh the front desk staffs customer service training.
