“Another comfortable stay in Tulare!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2014

I have stayed in this hotel perhaps four times, and each time it is a good experience. The king rooms are spacious, clean, well decorated, and modern. Everything in the room works. This hotel is a cut above many others in that the air conditioning works wonderfully! I appreciate hotel air conditioners that have 1) a thermostat where a specified temperature can be set, as opposed to a high/medium/low switch, 2) an air conditioner that can actually cool the room sufficiently, and 3) a button to keep the air conditioning fan running constantly (not constant cooling, but constant air flow). This latter feature not only stirs the air to make sleeping more comfortable, but it does not subject the sleeper to the noise change when the fan turns on and off, waking up sleepers that are not used to having an air conditioning unit directly in their sleeping room.

Beds were comfortable, pillows were soft, and “down” pillows were provided at our request on the reservation. The room includes a small refrigerator (which we used) and a microwave oven. It had a nice-sized flat screen TV, with a decent selection of channels.

The breakfast was good, and the staff was attentive to restocking the food and drink items as they ran out. The hotel common areas were clean and very pleasant. I will not hesitate to stay here again when in the area.

We have always stayed in the Hampton Inn & Suites in Tulare, since they opened. They are always friendly, efficient & comfortable. Nice freshly washed duvet cover. Nice amenities in the bathroom. Business or family time, this is the place to stay in Tulare.

I try to stick to Hampton Inn as much as possible when I travel for work. This location was very average. Nothing special, but fine. Room (309) seemed smaller than other Hamptons I have stayed at. Bed was fine, but not as comfy or as high-end as other Hamptons. Pillows were nice and fat though. There was a stain on my sheet, which surprised me, but didn't kill the deal. It was light, but still noticeable. A/C worked great, which is a must for me. Microwave and frig. included. Standard Hampton bathroom with tub/shower. Didn't go to breakfast. Drove past pool. Smaller, standard pool but suitable if you want to cool off. Didn't check out gym. Just quick and in out, one night trip. Drove around the immediate area of the hotel and then crossed to other side of freeway looking for a decent non-fast food dinner. Settled on Chilis. Also in the area was Chipotle, Panda Express, Starbucks, Burger King, Togo's. Will probably stay there next time I am in the area because I like my Hilton points and it is right next to Hwy 99. Fine hotel, but nothing to write home about.

Room Tip: Room 309 is very close to elevator and ice machine. Room was very quiet, didn't hear a thing.

Greeted by a courteous and polite staff. Clean inside and out! Not far from Sequoia National Park. Secure parking in a small town. Did not use the pool or fitness area, but looked nice. Breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety with plenty of seating.

Hilton/Hampton Inn is always my first choice for hotel accommodations. We really wanted to stay in Vasillia, CA, but we got the Triple A rate of $67 in Tulare. It was only about 15 minutes to downtown Visallia. WHAT A STEAL!

Modern, clean and comfortable. This hotel is conveniently located not far from the freeway. Rooms are large and clean and there is a large lounge area where a basic breakfast is served. A good place for a couple of nights stopover. Shame our room did not have a fridge or microwave.

Room Tip: Check room facilities when you book - not all rooms are the same.

The hotel was a last minute booking for a weeks stay. The rooms were clean, the location was convenient and the staff were friendly. Sometimes the hotel had a farm type smell in the mornings, but given the type of town that Tulare is, it is to be expected. The rooms had refrigerators and microwave and were cool during the evenings.
