even she could not fault this place. As for me, I can only concur with the other 22 reviewers above in their assessment of the Constellation Residences.
Seven of us were comfortably accommodated in a three bed condo without feeling at all cramped and the daily maid service meant each day's return was a pleasure.
The chief advantages of this location were the proximity to the slopes ('no schlepping'), the use of the excellent facilities at the Ritz Carlton next door and above all the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff.
I would like to especially thank Katie and her colleagues on the desk, who could not have been more obliging, as well as the Brian and the ski valet team. It is indeed a luxury to have your skis placed out on the snow for you each day and brought back inside later. I am sure that if I had been feeling too weary the valets would have done the skiing for me as well.
You can not compare the whole experience with the over-priced and over-crowded European Alps, especially when you can ski in the aptly named Heavenly too after a leisurely and beautiful hour's drive around Lake Tahoe. The scenery took a few days to grow on me- not as awe inspiring as the Alps or as pretty as the Lake District- but the scale and drama of the landscape and lakescape is impressive.
We would love to return; an unforgettable trip.
