“Okay hotel for stopover”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2014

Staying here tonight for a stopover after visiting lake tahoe.. Booked a single kingsize bed room.. $95 incl. Breakfast and wifi.

The whole hotel smells like lysol or some other disinfectant, had to vent the room for an hour for the smell to clear . no small feat since its freezing at the moment..

Room is okay, havent seen a 4:3 glass tube tv for a while so that was good for a laugh. Small fridge. Microwave, coffee, drinks, snacks etc in the hotel lobby

Frontdesk closes at 22:00 for the night, so of you have any needs or problems, make it before 10pm or wait till 7:30.. I'm guessing it's just guests at night.

Wifi is okay, bit weak.. Nothing my travel router cant fix.

Advertised whirlpool is covered up , cold and in an icecold and dimly lit room.. Small 2-3 person sauna had to heat u for 30-40 minutes..

I will start by saying I only found this after my "go to" Hampton, jacked up the rates so the hotel staff suggested I come here. Its not super fancy by any means- but it does feel safe, and its clean- for the most part. The first time I stayed here I got the key and went into the room and It just smelled so bad like a wet dog. I had to switch rooms. For the discounted govt. rate, it wasn't too bad. Though one down side was the noise from the highway that is just on the other side of hotel. Pick a room that faces the front of property or you will hear the highway traffic all night- that's if you are a light sleeper. The staff was always really welcoming here, and very nice. The rooms are a bit run down and the couch that was in one of the rooms I don't think I would have sat on it with a blanket- but who really uses the couch anyways? The bathroom was super clean- i even took a bath! I think the breakfast was typical for an economy hotel like this but there is a fabulous bagel shop in the shopping center next door so you can just take 2 min. to walk there if you care to. This is the perfect place to stay if you are hiking or climbing and just need a place to clean up, and sleep.

Room Tip: Don't pick a room on second floor that is close to the interior balcony overlooking the lobby or...

My friend and I stayed here two nights for the Tahoe Tough Mudder. The place is a bit dated but very clean and the staff was nice and able to get us around Truckee for dinner and directions to the event. The room was quiet, even with the window open both nights we were able to sleep without any noise. There was a super market and a subway within walking distance which was nice also. I liked the place and will most likely stay here again next year.

This hotel is very run down and needs major updating. From the hallway/stair carpeting to the rooms, the hotel needs to be renovated. The carpet looked very dirty as well as old decor and old bedspreads. On a positive note, the staff was very nice and helpful. There are no blow dryers in the room, so you have to call down to the desk and hope that someone will turn one in after they have borrowed it.

Very dated hotel. Old furnishings and the bed and bedding were ancient. However, it was clean. The staff was accomodating and courtious. Walls were thin and late night revelers were very noisy. However the price was right.

Mouse in my room! For real! Eeeek! :D

Otherwise, I would describe this pretty standard economy inn. Not very new, breakfast very limited, but then again price is good for this area. Neighborhood is nice.

We decided to stay i Truckee due to bad weather and closed road conditions. Christian was excellent and the received value was great. Clean rooms and a friendly staff…
I will definitely return and recommend to friends and family...
