“Love this place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2012

Somewhat remote area. Costal travel to get here. Lovely area, staff and decent food. Not cheap but there is not a whole lot around. Beautiful views, sunsets. Worth a stop for a drink or dinner. People were very nice. We were staying at a hotel on moonstone beach so this was or place for eating. Very nice.

“Great food, great view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2012

It's a bit difficult to get to, but the view is lovely, and the food and service are excellent. It is pricey. Probably a bit more pricey than it merits. But not a lot more. The menu is varied - with something for everyone, although less depth for vegetarians. And great dessert!!

“Great view, expensive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2012

While Seascape by the pier in Trinidad is expensive, dirty, and bad quality, at least the Moonstone Grill a few miles south is high quality. It offers a great sunset view out over the ocean, especially if it isn't foggy or raining. Expect to pay a lot

“So worth it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2012

To start, we were visiting the coast and just popped in late one evening to secure a reservation for the next night. While doing so we also asked the staff where we might find a good breakfast locally. They suggested places in Arcata and wrote down the names and locations for us. Woohoo, those guys knew their food and we had great breakfasts the next two days at a couple of the places they recommended. Thank you!
Now, enough of that.
When we got to the restaurant for dinner we were seated promplty at a lovely location to watch the activity on the beach. Our server was very personable and made excellent recommendations. We chose the artisan cheese platter to start which did not disappoint. We also had iced tea which we found was a special blend of many differing teas and was so delicious. For dinner it was Big Eye Tuna for me and the Hawaiian Fish of the day for the DH which was Sunfish that night. I just don't know what to say in a few words but Divine! We were having so much fun we went on to have the Molten Chocoate cake with Sandeman port at the suggestion of our server. Mmmmm. We ended with two of the signature cocktails: the Double chocolate martini and the Eden. Some may say they are pricy but you get what you pay for here. The food, service, and atmosphere were worth all we spent and we would come back in a heartbeat.

We really enjoyed the meal, service, and beach experience. Well worth a stop; great bar, too!
