This is the three star hotel that masqueraded as a 4 star. The location of this hotel is slightly remote, but not to far away from everything. It is a perfect staging ground for people who fly in to see David Beckham play at the Home Depot Center. It is only a few minutes away from restaurants.

The staff was great and the room was comfy. We had free high speed internet, a refrigerator, TV and coffee/tea maker. Make sure to join the Priority Club as it comes with extra perks. One major one for people with children is the elevator only works with Priority Club members cards on the upper floors.

The pool and jacuzzi are good sized and clean. The bathrooms are large and well laid out so that 2 people can utilize them at the same time.

This hotel has a nice restaurant and provides a reasonably priced room service. The breakfast in bed was amazing!

Apparently a loud wedding occurred in one of the conference rooms but we never heard a thing. The walls are pretty good at muffling sounds.

Black out blinds = sleep like a baby even at 12 noon!

I agree with the previous reviews. One exception would be that the rooms here are *not* huge. Nevertheless, they are well furnished, very clean, and very comfortable.

The desk check-in crew is actually friendly and they smile. That's unheard of these days. At the same time that I was checking in, there were two busloads of Japanese tourists. Everyone smiled. By the way, my room had signs and phone directories in both English and Japanese. That connection may explain why this hotel is so clean.

Torrance is halfway between Los Angeles airport and Long Beach airport, so this property is convenient to both. And the giant Harborgate industrial estates are across the street -- if that's what brings you to Torrance.

I was very pleased with my stay at the Holiday Inn Torrance. The hotel was modern and pleasing to the eyes. We were checked in quickly and the staff was very friendly. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Room service was late, but was worth waiting for. I will definately stay at this hotel again.

I thought the place was great. We were given a room that someone had just moved out of and they changed all the linens, they brought in a decent portable bed for one of my kids. The room was well equipped and the curb appeal was very impressive. We did not take advantage of all the services, but was impressed with those we did use.
