I was treated to spend a day at this Korean Spa. I was signed up for a full body scrub and message. Not knowing what to expect, I had asked a lot of questions while at the front counter. I was given a wrist number with a locker key and assigned a time for the scrub and / or message (you can pick a time that suits you). Once I had entered the men’s room, I was told to place my own slippers (or shoes) in the corresponding shoe locker (wrist number). Now bare footed, you proceed to your assigned clothing locker. From this point, three things can happen. 1) You either just enjoy the facilities on the first floor like a shower, the steam room, dry heat sauna, hot, warm or cold Jacuzzi or the use of the body washing stalls, in which you are completely naked (yes, no shorts, shirts or slippas). 2) If you signed up for a body scrub and / or message, you must shower and soak in the Jacuzzi. Your number will be called on the designated time. During my scrub and message, this person spoke some English, so it was easy to tell them to lighten up on scrubbing. 3) If you are only using the common area, ‘Dry’ heat saunas, then you change into the shorts and tee shirts you were given at the front counter, and again ‘No’ slippas or shoes. Once dressed, proceed up the elevator to the second floor.
The second floor has one common floor area and the floor is heated. To relax here, grab a mat and head rest from the pile or use one that is ‘no longer’ being used. There are three big screen TV’s, a Cold room (57°F), Salt room (130°F), Hot dry sauna (130°F), Dry Sauna (110°F), Two Treadmills and Two Elliptical machines. There is a beverage counter to purchase bottled water, soft drinks, fruit smoothies and Shaved ice. There is also a food counter which serves Korean foods. Some will consider these prices high, but to me, the prices are typical. To purchase drinks or food, just order and the cost will be charged to your wrist number and paid when you leave. And for those that have to smoke, or get some fresh air, there is a balcony on the second floor, which there are slippers for you to use. To use the restrooms, on both the first and second floors, there are also slippers provided to use. The common area is where everyone congregates, so expect other patrons talking and children playing. For those that want to stay connected to the internet, there is a signal, so bring your Smartphone or laptop.
Overall, for my first time here I had a great time.
