Although we are only a little over an hour from Tiburon, we just can't wait until our next get-away to the Water's Edge!!! My husband & I are headed up to Tiburon for our 4th stay in 3 years. The location is great: walk to shopping (great little stores), restaurants, bars, grocery and most importantly the water. This beautiful boutique hotel is very warm & the rooms very spa-like. The lobby, where they serve wine and cheese & crackers nightly, is very inviting. We have met many interesting travelers there sipping wine in front of the fireplace.
They also serve a very liberal Continantal breakfast, brought to your room (with newspaper) at your requested time. A number of the rooms and the deck are literally over the water with a beautiful view of San Francisco. We like the 'view-king' rooms. I recommend bringing a bottle of champagne & watching the sunset from the deck. (don't forget a jacket!) You can also catch a ferry ride to SF or Angel Island (check schedules). Validated parking across the street, an excellent staff & beautiful setting make the Water's Edge a great place to spend a couple of days. ENJOY!! Ask them about the Joie de Vivre Rewards club. (No I don't work for them, but have enjoyed many of their Bay Area boutique hotels.)
