Joe's in Templeton is one of our favorite "top 2" places to eat breakfast in the Paso Robles area. (Our other pick is Cowgirl in Paso). Joe's always has big, delicious breakfasts (try the California omelet if they have it on the Daily Specials board -- it's loaded with mouth-watering veggies and melty/stringy cheese). The biscuit 'n gravey will make you think you're breakfasting in the southern USA. The French toast is excellent, as is the oatmeal (which comes loaded with raisins, brown sugar, etc.). The service is extremely friendly and the prices are more-than-reasonable. Joe's also serves lunch every day. Early mornings (especially on Friday, Saturday and Sunday) can be extemely busy there, so be prepared to wait outside for a table (the owners are kind enough to provide plenty of bench area oustside while you wait for a table). Joe's also has another location (on Spring Street in Paso Robles), but I prefer the Templeton location because of the "Old California" feeling of Templeton's Main Street. Remember: breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so start it off right and Eat At Joe's! By the way, if you're eating breakfast at Joe's on a Saturday, don't miss the Templeton Farmer's Market, which is at the town park about 2 or 3 blocks from Joe's.
