Owner description: Peachy Canyon is one of the oldest family owned and operated wineries on Paso Robles' west side. The tasting room is located in a refurbished 1800's era schoolhouse on one of Peachy Canyon's four estate vineyard properties (the appropriately named "Old Schoolhouse" vineyard). We're known for our award-winning red Zinfandel lineup - including super premium Zins that are often produced in lots of less 400 cases each - as well as our Bordeaux and Rhone varietal wines. We believe in sustainable winemaking and are dedicated to "keeping it local." Our vineyards are managed by us, and all grapes are harvested and processed by hand by our team. Our tasting room offers a spacious lawn picnic area and a gazebo, not to mention beautiful vineyard surroundings! Stop by with a picnic and have a glass with us... Chairs, blankets, (leashed) pets and children always welcome.

“Now On Our List of Wineries to Revisit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

We've been visiting the Paso Robles area for about a dozen years, and have frequently driven past the Peachy Canyon Winery. Neither the name nor the décor outside indicated that this would be someplace we'd enjoy visiting. What changed our mind was the opportunity to sample their wine at an event...We're glad we did.

We were greeted by Conor, who is chock full of personality and quite familiar with the Peachy Canyon wines and other wineries in the area. A number of their wines are quite excellent, and we purchased a few bottles.

Peachy Canyon has great wine and is a more entertaining stop than its staid exterior and name convey. It is definitely worth a visit.

Thank you so much for stopping by and for the positive review. We know the historic schoolhouse isn't a look that resonates with everyone... and appreciate you giving us a chance. Thanks again, and see you someday (soon, I hope!)

“First time at Peachy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

If you like Zinfandel this is a winery to check out. Price per bottle is not outrageous, and the many varieties of Zin will keep you happy. Winemaker is great to speak with and very friendly. Did the barrel tasting during Zinfest and they have great wines coming up!

Glad to hear you enjoyed our Zins, soccer01 (and thanks for the positive review, too)! Zinfandel has been one of our passions here at Peachy since we started in 1988. Thanks for your kind words about Terry as well — he had a blast meeting everyone at Zinfest.

“one of the best independent wineries in Paso Robles”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

Gosh, how did I forget to review this winery back in May when we visited ? Happy to make amends though, and I thought here, (together with Grey Wolf, Adelaida, Halter Ranch and Rotta) was one of the best, amongst many, we visited in our 3 day spell in the region last year. Whilst many larger corporate wineries in Paso Robles do give the visitor the rather unwelcome "Sideways" experience, and also generally being snubbed if it's clear you're not in the market to sign up as a Club Member, Peachy Canyon was great - super friendly welcome, free, unpressured and comprehensive tasting, and of course pretty excellent wines themselves. Why did they happily stay open for just 2 Brits passing through ? Well - I've just spotted that Wine Society England has started importing Peachy Canyon Zinf hurrah, and so that very welcome but speculative welcome by the tasting room team will pay dividends in some small way. Oh - and we liked the cat.

“make sure you stop here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

Peachy Canyon has excellent wines. Their reds are probably my favorites of all the wineries we go to. The staff is fun and knowledgable and make visiting there fun. As wine club members we get special tasting glasses. It's a silly little thing but it makes you feel welcomed and we always look forward to going back.

“Stop at Peachy Canyon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

Well worth the stop, which is on the way between Cambria and Paso Robles. Very nice environment, comfortable, casual setting. The wines were very good, and the employees excellent. Will stop again.
