“Friendly staff, but old rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

The lady at the front desk everyday was awesome! Big smile, a wealth of information, & seemed to be truly enjoying her job. The room was overall clean & nice. I even left a note for housekeeping to leave extra towels & to find me a flat pillow (I can't sleep on those puffy ones) & they left 2 flat pillows to meet my desire! HOWEVER, the shower wouldn't drain properly & there were rust stains on the tub, from the rusty shower railings, & faucet. We called the front desk, they said engineering would be up to fix it in 10 min., we waited 20 min., then called again as no one had showed up, then about 5 min. after that a very friendly man came to fix it & it drained fine after some work. I just had to try to ignore the rust as the hotel was full & there were no other rooms available.

Room Tip: request top floor away from the freeway... Pool view was nice too

This hotel is conveniently located near the 15 freeway and near a lot of restaurants and shops. The wineries, of course, are just a few miles down the road. If you ask at the front desk, they will provide a map of the wineries and some 2 for 1 coupons to a few wineries.
I felt that the rooms were a good price, but you get what you pay for. Yes, they are suites, but they are small. If they took out the wall it would probably be about the same size as a regular hotel room. It would probably be good for a small family. The rooms aren't fancy, but have the usual amenities and also have a small refrigerator and a microwave.
They include breakfast and an evening reception, which add to the value. At breakfast, they have an omelet bar - they will make you an omelet to order, as well as pancakes. The result is that the other hot items are neglected and are harder and drier than usual. Unless you are in a huge hurry or just don't care how dry your eggs are, go with the made to order food. The reception in the evenings has some basic food (nachos, fresh fruit, cheese and crackers) and apparently unlimited drinks. The only problem is the line at the bar can get huge.
I was happy with the service we received. Our first room was on the ground floor and near a door. People smoke outside the door, and when the doors are propped open the smell of the smoke goes into the nearby rooms. When we complained at the front desk, Megan had us moved us to another room, no problem. The next room had a slow drain in the shower. We complained at the front desk (Megan again, who remembered us!), and within a few hours someone had taken care of the problem.

Room Tip: Pool view rooms will have a view to the pool or fountain, otherwise you will have a street view. No...

The Embassy Suites hotel in Temecula is a very conveniently located property just off the 15 freeway. The nicely furnished lobby leads directly to the breakfast room. The rooms are large and the beds ultra comfortable. We happened to stay in air-conditioned comfort, accomodations which had a bedroom and a sitting room with nice-sized TV. The pool is large/spacious and warm, very nice for lounging or laps. For those heading out for wine tasting or the casino, road access is easy.

Room Tip: Select a room which had both a sitting room and separate bedroom. THe layout is a bit confusing so...

I was here for a two day program, and the facility was a good choice geographically but lacking in some of the refinements I anticipate for an Embassy Suites.
The thermostat in the meeting room seems to give too much or too little cooling.
Food served was good, but the serving time was totally off on the second day. Apparently the facility defaulted to the first day schedule, making lunch two hours late.
The facility has been here for about 20 years, in fact my wife and I were here when it was relatively new. Considering the age, most of the interiors were nicely refreshed. Interior room doors really showed their age though. I had a plumbing issue in my shower/tub that creates a problem for housekeeping, but nothing upsetting for me. The rooms are a bit compact compared to what I usually encounter in this "brand" facility.
I did enjoy the breakfast, though I chose the ready eggs rather than the prepared to order because there was no one working at the line for several minutes when I went in at 7:55 a.m.

Room Tip: Not sure what to tell you regarding rooms.

Thank you for taking the time to review. We’re very sorry you experienced an undesirable level of customer service during your conference with us. The problems you mentioned with our group meeting service have been addressed. We appreciate you alerting us to these issues and we hope you will give us a second chance if you return to the area and experience the excellent level of hospitality that the Embassy Suites brand is known for.

This place is superb. It is located in the corner of a commercial area and has lots of retail stores and dining places that can just be a good distance for walking. The room quality is good and very comfortable bed that what matters to me the most. And most of all, their great complimentary breakfast that will be cooked for you the way you want. Awesome place and i will definitely comeback and check out the winery place.

I stayed in July 2012 with 8 other family members, I shared a room with my othe rhalf his brother and his gf. We thought there might be seperate rooms however the beds were in the same room and quite close. Would be great for a family and kids but not the best for 2 couples unless you are very close!

The room though was nice, spacious and clean with a balcony. Althoguh I didnt like the bathroom door which was some sliding thing that didnt lock, again okay if you are with family but 2 couples sharing not the best.

The pool was huge, much bigger than I experienced in most places near temecula.

Breakfast was great and was very nicely surprised by a free bar for 2 hours without having to pay anything. You lso got free fruit. This really helped us to enjoy our stay. Free parking and close parking. Very large hotel, beware if you are in a group and want room sclose to eachother specify this as we were quite widely seperated in our group.

Very good value for money!

Room Tip: Ask for a pool facing room

The hotel is located in a good location right off of I-5 and the main street which leads east into wine country.

With the manager's reception and breakfast included in the rate, I felt I received a good value for the rate I paid. The hotel was clean and service was efficient and pleasant. The pool was very nice and the grounds appeared well maintained.

As other reviewers have noted, the rooms are not huge, but I had not problem finding space for two pieces of luggage for the two of us in the room. Also noted is the age of the property, which I could see in areas, but it did appear to be well maintained.

I'd recommend the hotel for those who are looking to use the breakfast and manager's reception, as I felt it was worth the higher rate than I could find at other Temecula properties.
