A couple of times per year we travel to Temecula for wine tasting, staying locally at hotels or b and bs. This was our first time at Churon, situated mid-point in the wine country on rancho california.

i must echo the thoughts of prior reviewers: the rooms are first rate, large and well-appointed. Easy to operate fireplace, beautiful bathroom with jacuzzi tub for two, large shower and polished stone work throughout. A 4 poster bed - very comfy. wide screen Vizio. Nice views. Free wine tasting. Breakfasts were very good from a limited 5-6 option menu. Server was perfection.

The tip: we stayed on the weekend off-season - February. The inn web site showed the rate at about 280 with rate around 170 during the week. I asked for and received the mid-week rate. They said they were a bit slow (about half the rooms were booked) and wanted to have more rooms occupied. That approach worked for us. We will stay here again, preferring it to Loma Vista just down the road.

“A very Happy Anniversary”

We are members at this winery, so we were given an excellent rate for two rooms to celebrate our 11th anniversary and my daughter's 21st birthday.

Therefore, I do not feel it fair for me to mention and cons or negatives and I will just list the good things as well as the pictures of our room.

PROS: View and scenery, balacony room, fireplace, jacuzzi tub, nice water pressure in the shower, the bed and pillows were very comfy, flat screen TV, refrigerator in the room.

We did not have breakfast in the dining room and it was not buffet as others had mentioned. Our breakfast was served in the lobby area and were offered about 5 selections to choose from a pre fixe menu.

please excuse our messy room in the photos.

“A Fantastic French Chateau in Temecula”

The Churon Inn is a fantastic romantic find. We where only able to spend one night there but the staff made my partner and I most welcome. Our room was classed as a basic room, based on a French chateau. The room had a king sized bed with an open fireplace which was welcome when the sun started to set. The French windows in the room went out on to a spacious patio with beautiful views especially when the sun was setting. The bathroom was nearly as big as the bedroom in marble. Only down side to this is that the floor can get a little slippery with water. The double jacuzzi bath was very soothing and there is also a separate shower.

We availed ourselves of the free wine tasting for guests after the public wine tasting had finished. The Churon have a comprehensive list of wines for all tastes and if you live within the US you may join their wine club. Unfortunately being from the UK this option wasn’t available 8-((.

In the morning a good breakfast is included in the price which was most welcome. Thank you again for making our short stay most enjoyable.

when we first drove up we missed the entrance because the sign sits on the ground, and as we approached it looked desertedthe entrance lacked any kind of warm welcome or directionfor that matter, and there was a beer can that sat on the sidewalk the whole 2 days of our stay??also garbage can by front door overflowing the whole stay, that put aside,we were delighted when we arrived at our room,[we did arrive early but were not able to check in even though there was hardly anyone at the inn] however the staff was great they had wine waiting in our room, and the room was absolutely wonderful, the bed was very comfy, the french doors leading to patio, marble bath,we had breakfast in the room as hot air baloons drifted by across the vineyards.this is truly a great place to stay just a little more att to details and this could be fabulous,we will stay again and hope that as time goes on the mgmnt will add some finishing touches, such as nice toiletries, chocolates on the pillows and maybe some fresh flowers??

“Loved our stay!”

I booked the hotel by directly calling the hotel. The receptionist was polite, courteous, and even gave us a free bottle of red wine upon arrival! The hotel room was large, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. But the best things about the room were the french doors that led to the balcony with the lovely view of the vineyard and the amazingly large bathroom with a hot tub! My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the free evening wine tasting at the wine room. We sampled a variety of wines while conversing with other guests and the bartender. There are many great things about this hotel! The only negative I could think of was that it was pricey!
