Went to the Friday night Pechanga dinner buffet on December 21st with my father in law. The price was on par with some of the better Las Vegas buffets but the selection and quality was not.
They had peel and eat shrimp that were ok, but for almost $30.00 each, they should have peeled, tail on shrimp. They had a few sushi rolls, a few other hot shrimp dishes, catfish, some other unidentified fish, crab legs, oysters, muscles, and other dishes in the seafood section. None were outstanding. The roast beef in the carving section was good. Several other unidentified meats were in the hot trays and not very good. The ribs were over cooked and dired out.
They had many other sections, Asian, Mexican, Italian, and so forth, but nothing looked very good. Everything was everyday items that you could get at any neighborhood buffet for a third of the price.
The desert bar was large with a lot of variety. I tried an eclair which was like eating wax. I also tried the creme brulee. That was the only thing I would give an excelent rating.
Overall, the buffet is large, clean, and has a fair variety of food. Most of the food is fresh and replaced often. None of the dishes are identified as to what they are. The Pechanga Buffet just does not live up to the the price they charge.
