My wife and I drove round California/Arizona for one month in January/Feb
We weren´t planning to go to Temecula so we didn’t have a booking and the Rodeway was are only option. The room was ok for a chain hotel it was clean and lots of space.

The room was a little worn but you expect that from motels. Only downside was a group of bikers arrived and left early in the morning, clearly they had to compensate for something as they kept revving their bikes at 7.30am. Our night has not put us off staying at a Rodeway again. Great location at the end of the old town of Temecula.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was! WE had a 2nd floor king bed non smoking. Noise was not a major problem and there was a table with 2 chairs in the room, a wall mounted air conditioner and good sized bathroom with the vanity on the outside. We really liked the Old Town Bar and Grill being just across the street. A popular restaurant with a varied menu, good service and great food. About a 5 minute drive to the Pechanga casino. AFter reading reviews of people losing their money, it was good to take home $600!

Likes: Easy to get to location just off Interstate 15. On arrival encountered pleasant staff at front desk who allowed early check-in. Room was clean with plenty of room for one adult with two children. Family friendly facility. Window easily opened wide to allow in fresh air. Ample free parking. Within easy walking distance of several stores and restaurants.

Dislikes: Cost. Paint was peeling in bathroom. Bathroom door was difficult to close and open. Water temperature during short shower fluctuated from extremely hot to cold to hot to warm and so on. Even when window was closed, outside noises (i.e. passing vehicles and persons talking) could still be heard clearly. Mattresses were lumpy, uncomfortable and on creaky bed frames. Small 21 inch television provided access to only local TV channels, and no cable channel access nor video game hook-ups. Drawers on dresser would not stay closed (room was slightly tilted towards the east?).

Not bad place to stay for the cost, everything was very clean. The front desk was very good. The breakfast a bit short. But I didn't go there for that. The beds where standard. but they could place better pillows. We stayed 2 differant days and 2 differant rooms. The worst part, TV's where bad both rooms. Reception and color was awful on both. Wireless wasn't working, or couldn't find it. But I would stay again. Easy walking to old town. Actually your in it. Rooms good size, I'd stay again and recommend friend which I had, and they stayed there with us the second night. They had no bad comments the next day when asked.

“You don't get what you pay for”

Rodeway Inn Temecula

After finding most places were booked, when arriving a couple of days early for a Monday business meeting, I found through a phone call that the Rodeway Inn had available rooms. Great! Better yet, it is right in old town where there were all of the shops and restaurants that I wanted to visit. I knew there was a problem as soon as a walked into the 'office' to check in. I knew right then by the run down condition of the 'office' this was not going to be a pleasant experience. Considering so many other places were all ready booked, I felt that I did not have much choice.

I have never paid so much for such a poor, dilapidated hotel or motel. The room was small and cramped, it appeared (thankfully) relatively clean, but who could tell because it was dark due to burnt out light bulbs and a tiny window looking out onto the side of another building! The table where I am currently sitting and writing this review, rocks back and forth and feels like it is going to fall over. The water 'trickles' out of the shower head. The sink faucet practically requires two hands to 'pull' it on. There are only 9 channels available on the TV and 4 of them are not viewable. There is more, but I won't bore you with any more details.

All of this for only $128.50 Wow what a deal !.......... NOT!!!!!!
