“Excellent Get-Away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013 via mobile

My wife and I had our wedding ceremony at Ponte a year ago, and decided to make our first anniversary celebration a get away at the Ponte Vineyard Inn. The service was excellent and friendly (as always). Quiet and peaceful, and elegantly gorgeous is a good was to describe the Inn and it's grounds. The restaurants at Ponte are absolutely delicious, and the best around in my opinion. All in all, we highly recommend staying at the Ponte Vineyard Inn, and havemade it a plan to return more often than just once a year! - Mr. & Mrs. Pickus

My new husband and I stayed at Ponte Vineyard Inn for a surprise post-Christmas getaway on December 27th. This was our first time not only to the Inn, but to Temecula itself. Given all of the rave reviews, I decided to book at Ponte. We were NOT disappointed!!! The Inn is very well designed - we loved the sustainability/green aspect of everything. We stayed in a Double Queen Junior Suite which was incredibly spacious and well decorated. Everything was just so comfortable and clean! We were greeted very warmly at the front with glasses of moscato and were able to get into our room a bit early. Everyone we encountered was very nice and professional, right down to the cleaning staff who we saw on occasion. The fitness room is exactly the right size (not too big or terribly small) - we used the side by side treadmills that evening. When we walked back through the lobby that night, they had warm apple cider brewing!

I honestly couldn't think of a more wonderful place to stay and am so happy with our choice to stay at Ponte Vineyard Inn for our first (but definitely not last) visit to Temecula. We will absolutely stay here again!

We stayed on January 1, 2013 which was great as everyone had checked out! It was nice and quiet. Overall the Inn is very attractive and convenient to wine country. Perhaps a little pricy if you don't get some discount, but if you do then it's ok. I'm sure the location(wine country) increases the cost. Based on some of the other reviews, we requested and got room 211. This is a corner room, so only 1 wall has an adjoining room. This provides a little more privacy, but might also account for the reason the bathroom was so cold (it is on an outside wall). Now, we do like to sleep without heat, but once we turned it on in the morning and were there for another few hours, the bathroom never heated up even with the door open to the room It was so cold we didn't want to go in there to...well, you know all the things you go into a bathroom for! I think one of the most disappointing things about this room is the view. When you are standing on the balcony and look to the left you see the parking lot , look straight ahead and you see the tasting room, look to the right and you see the vineyard. Their are much nicer views in the back looking over the pond and vineyard. You can request, but won't be guaranteed any particular location though. The room however, was very nice, clean and well appointed. So what is the "Why didn't they" all about? Well, the shower in this particular room is literally big enough to fit a very close-knit family of 6, but they would have to take turns under one shower head! What a waste. This shower needed 2 shower heads and some side jets would have been nice too. Next, the bathroom door is a sliding pocket door that minus the frame is a solid sheet of milk glass which allows light and noise from the bathroom to spill out into the bedroom in the morning. This is a little inconvenient for those of us earlier risers married to those who aren't. Of course, these things wouldn't keep me from returning but certainly made me scratch my head and wonder what the designer was thinking. I had noted in previous reviews complaints about the staff. I initially spoke with Sara to make the reservation and she was very nice and helpful. When we checked out the young lady was pleasant enough, but seemed a little stressed but we all have an off day. Even the cleaning staff that we encountered in the hall on the 1st seemed very nice and that says a lot since they were cleaning up after one of the biggest partying nights of the year! We went to the Cellar Room for happy hour. Nice comfy seating, relaxed, nice ambience. A decent value, staff there very accommodating. We ordered the nachos and the sliders. Nachos were cold and sliders were tepid at best. I wouldn't order the nachos again, but the sliders had a great taste, they just need to come with a side order of heat! I would go back, but at this point I'm not married to the idea and would consider other options before deciding.

Room Tip: If you don't need the extra space offered in the King Junior Suite, then opt for a regular room...

My husband and I visited the Ponte Vineyard Inn for our aniversary on December 27, 2012. We had a great experience and we're already planning a return visit! We are wine club members, so we enjoyed discounts on our room, food, drinks, etc. Members are offered something free or discounted throughout the Ponte property.
Check-in was very fast and we were offered a complimentary glass of Moscato to take with us. The ladies at the desk were friendly and attentive. They even wished us a happy anniversary when they saw it on our reservation. Our room package included a bottle of wine and a $50 gift card, so check their website for similar deals.
Our room was a premium king. It was a good size with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was also large with a nice shower. No bathtub, but we didn't expect one. We were on the ground floor, so we had a patio with a table for sipping wine or coffee while looking out at the vineyard. Be sure to check the patio door. There are instructions on the door handle to help you lock it securely.
We also ate at Bouquet (the hotel restaurant) for dinner and breakfast. Seating is limited, so reservations are recommended even for breakfast. Just like the vineyard restaurant next door, the menu changes seasonally to incorporate fresh, local ingredients. We loved the food and were even offered a free glass of Beverino (my husband's favorite wine) to toast our anniversary with dinner. My husband went nuts for the pumpkin creme brulee.
After dinner, we checked out the Cellar Lounge. It was a weekday, so things were quiet. The decor and location (basement) gave it a speakeasy feel. It has the only full bar in the wine country and it's worth a visit.
The big draw here is the vineyard and the views. Every room has a great view and I highly recommend spending as much time as possible outdoors. Make sure to visit the tasting room and the Restaurant at Ponte next door.

Room Tip: Check their website for packages. We got a great deal. Wine club members are offered discounts all o...

Hi Jenny,
Thank you for your awesome review of the hotel and for being a Wine Club Member. We are so glad that we were able to exceed your expectations and that you were able to enjoy your club benefits. If you and your husband are able to make it back out for Valentine's Day we have a great "Vineyard Romance" package that will be available every day in February and we will be offering the option of a horse-drawn carriage ride through the vineyards. Keep an eye on the website for more details and thanks again!

We always wanted to stay at a vineyard and so glad we chose Ponte as our first! The whole experience was amazing. One of the best parts was waking up to a strange sound, only to open the curtains and see hot air balloons filling the beautiful blue sky.
We highly recommend staying here. The rooms are very clean and the service was exceptional. Don't miss out dining at the restaurant, the food was delicious, the chef even came out to greet us.
Additional tip, we were able to have in-room massages :)

This luxurious, small hotel really puts the accent on service. And it's rooms are well worth the price (about $250 when we stayed), with really nice bedding and amenities, like Starbucks coffee in the rooms. The hacienda style architecture is well complimented by the surrounding vineyards, which provide a spectacular view.

We have been wine members of Ponte winery for about two years and were ecstatic when they opened up the Vineyard Inn. Everything was exactly as we hoped for. Excellent customer service, excellent hospitality. It as if we were at home.
The restaurant (Bouquet) was exceptional for dinner and for breakfast. The view was fantastic (even with the rain).
We also received a complimentary bottle of Super T (!!!) and a $50 gift card since we stayed during the holiday season. It was a lovely surprise!

We cannot wait to return to the Inn!
