“Water fun for all ages”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2014

For a nominal fee we visited the Splash Pad at the park. The Park has a variety of water features that all ages can cool off and have fun. The entrance to the park for the day was only $6.00 per car. We had kids that ranged from toddler to young adult and we all had fun. The Pad was clean and well kept. The area has some shade and a good amount of tables. You can bring your own table umbrella for more shade. When the kids were done with water they have a great playground area that is a viewable distance from the Splash Pad. I recommend this place to anyone wanting to spend the day relaxing and having fun while cooling off in the water features.

My uncle comes here and a lot and only lives a few miles and he wanted us to join us to show us how to use our travel trailer for the first time and again it was just ok. The spaces are very small and no much shade we knew about the shade. We didnt have to use the restrooms and im grateful for that since the reviews made them sound pretty horrible. The fishing and water pad were probalby the highlights but not too sure I will be going back any time soon. It was ok to learn the basics.

Where to begin? 1st, don't camp here! The spots are small, and when they say little to no shade on the spots, they aren't joking. There are 4 showers each (men's & women's) for hundreds of camp sites and they aren't nice, although they don't make you pay for them which is the least they can do. The spots are overrun by ants and either roaches or water bugs, either way DISGUSTING! We asked whether they could do anything about it and were told to go to Home Depot and get some ant killer cause even their bug guy couldn't do anything about it. Really?? Can their bug guy not go to Home Depot and get the same stuff? They post signs that say No Tents on Grass. No problem. Imagine our surprise on the first night, at 11:30 when the sprinklers came on and watered half of our spot! For 35 minutes!! We ended up having to move our tent and our food shelter, neither of which were near the grass! They only empty the dumpsters on Tuesday's so you can imagine how stinky it can get. They start mowing at 6am, which is okay since you'll be up anyway due to the fact that you'll already be roasting because there is no shade. About the only redeeming quality of this place is the splash pad, but even that's not worth the aggravation of everything else you'll have to deal with. We ended up leaving a day early, which was about 3 days to late in my opinion. Save yourself the money and camp in your backyard!!

A packed camground is s sign of good times to be had but with such large crowds the campground facilities need to be kept up with. The shower/restrooms were NASTY. The port-a-potties were over used and under maintained. They stated they were designed to accomodate 10 people for five days under normal use before requiring service. They surely see more action than that and you could tell by the stench in the air. Stay away from the outer edges of the campground, stay inward and hope that the wind is not blowing your way.

I read some of the reviews and got scared to camp here but i had already booked it. The staff was very nice the rangers were very helpful too. The bathrooms were very clean and always had paper towels and toilet paper. The camp was full this weekend but it wasnt crazy. Everyone was quiet at 10 and the ranger came by and told people to keep their kids quiet and turn off music. We slepted great both night. It was great to wake up and see the hot air balloons flying up around the mountains. It was a fun stay and everyone was very friendly expect our neighbor who was in a million dollar tour bus, i guess he was to cool for us but thats cool. Its camping there will be noise and kids around thats what its all about havin fun. We stayed here may 4 -6 2012. Will be back hopefully next month. We stayed in a section i our pop up trailer.

We stayed here a couple of years ago and it was awful. Decided to give it another try and they have improved in many areas. The staff was much nicer this time around and the bug problem we experienced last time was gone. They have added a nice amphitheater, newer bathroom facilities, newer playgrounds and a splash park which is great for the kids (although it only runs April-October). My husband fished one day while we were here and all he caught was a sunburn! As far as the campspot, they are way too close together. The layout of the site was also strange. Our firepit was right up against our neighbors trailer. And if you had neighbors like we did, you'll be getting eyeballed all night through the blinds. This is camping right? Isn't the purpose to be outdoors? Anyway, the best spots are on the ends of the rows but of course are hard to come by unless you reserve way in advance.
