“The only way to tour Temecula”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

We visited 3 wineries (all tastings are included and some places offered discounts because we were on the tour), had lunch, got a tour of a barrel room with some interesting information about the wine making process, got to taste grapes in the vineyard, and took a little off-roading excursion. It was a lot of fun and seemed like a great value for the price.

Travis was our guide, and he called us about a half hour before the tour to introduce himself and check in with us on his timing. We actually turned out to be a few minutes late for the tour, but he was accommodating and patient with us. He was a great guide all around-- funny and friendly, and very knowledgeable about the wineries and wine. He explained that most of the guides for the company were at some point in their lives involved in wine making; he was an assistant wine maker at one of the vineyards in the area and some other guides were either wine makers or worked for one of the wineries. This makes for a great tour, because they know a lot more about the area, the wineries, and wine in general than your average tour guide. He also made everything easy to understand and relate-able, so you don't have to be a wine-connoisseur to follow along.

It was also a great tour because it was just us and another couple, so we had a lot of personal attention and it didn't feel like we were just a large group being herded from one place to the next. The tour moved at a good pace, too. We weren't at any one place for too long, but we also didn't feel rushed. When we were at our first winery, another tour group came after us and left before us, which I felt was not enough time to really enjoy the wines and the setting, so I was glad that I wasn't with that tour. Sunrider has really set the bar high for wine tours. I don't know if another tour could be this great!

“Great tour of Temecula”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

We had the best time on this tour. Jesse was our guide and really took the time to make this trip fun. We had informative wine tastings at each of the wineries with fun staff. The lunch was great and we got to try grapes straight off the vines! Took us to the top of Temecula for a fabulous view. Had a great time with the other couple on our tour and will have to take this tour again!

“Great Tour!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

This was a great tour. Jesse our guide was awesome. The wineries were good. We brought a few bottles home. We used a Groupon so there was a discount. They give you souvenir glasses to being home and we weren't told to take them. So I emailed them when we got home and they mailed them to us! That's customer service. I recommend this tour.

“A great fun and educational wine tour!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2012 via mobile

While We have never been on the wine trolley tour or bus tour I can say this is definitely the way to go! Seth was an awesome tour guide and there were only 4 of us so it was very personable. Seth took his time telling us about each of the wineries and his recommendations for wine at each. He also took us on a tour of the vineyard and educated us about the different grapes. We also visited a barrel room. I would definitely take this tour again and ask for Seth!!

“Excellent tour- we drank great wines and even learned stuff!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2012

Our tour started about 10:45 on a Wednesday morning. At about 10am Travis called us to let us know he would be our guide and to make sure we knew where the Starbucks was where we would meet. He showed up a few minutes early and since it was just my husband and I and 2 other people we got going quickly. First up was to order lunch so he could pick it up while we were at the first winery. The 3 wineries we went to were excellent. We received 5 or 6 tastings at each and I presume because it was 1) a quiet day and 2) They all had a great relationship with Travis and Sunrider we received extra tastings at a couple. Lunch was on the patio of one winery which was lovely. We then went to the barrel room and explored the vines of the winery while Travis taught us about wine making, the history of winemaking in the area, and also took us on an off-road ride up the hill for some great views.

We weren't sure what to expect, especially after we spoke to people who live in Napa and they told us it would be terrible, but this was by far our best day of our vacation. I am not a wine expert and like sweeter wines and had more than enough to keep me happy. My husband who knows wine much better than I do was not only happy but found one or two that he felt were the best he had had of that variety. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants an unstuffy tour and who really wants to taste wines from the well-known and smaller wineries.
