If you're a lover of full-bodied red wines, then Wien's Family Cellars is the ideal winery. The tasting room is a large building surrounded by a lovely patio area that overlooks the vineyards. They often do weddings outside under an arch (in fact there was one occurring during our visit). The staff is very friendly and not stuffy at all.
For $10 you get to choose six tastes from an extensive list of reds, whites, reserves and port and keep your glass as a souvenir. The tasting bar is very large, and the dark wood gives the place a warm ambience.
The winery offers an all-red wine club for those that are interested, and if you sign up at the winery and purchase 3 bottles, you get the wine club discount and your tasting fee refunded.
This is also a nice place to have a picnic, so bring along your wine-country picnic basket and enjoy their patio.
The best reds? The 2006 "Reflection" and the 2005 "Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon". All of the wines had a lot of character, depth, great boquets, and color.
