We had the 1 BR unit next to the hot tub which was great for us water lovers. Very clean, comfortable furniture and queen bed. The kitchen sink was small but we put everything in the dishwasher so managed even though we ate lunch and dinner there about every day. Loved having the sliding door in the bedroom-left it open every night & felt very safe. At checkin, make sure to get the hiking trails maps, etc. that the office has for free. We hiked the trail behind the condos-was breathtaking! We even discovered an overlook where we watched the sunset every night. If you attend the welcome party, they will tell you where it is located. It overlooks the San Joaquin Valley-there's a little path that's kinda scary but there's a bench to enjoy the view & drink some wine. Even though its been said that this resort is out of the way I didn't find this to be true at all! We were within minutes of so many places to visit - 2 wineries, retired horse farm, ostrich farm, llama farm, hiking trails, train loop (15-20 mtes) & the windmills farms. Not far either from Edwards AFB & Red Rock Canyon. Also went 45 mtes to the Feline Conservation Ctr which happened to be giving a small elementary class a tour and the animals sure were out to get their treats from the person giving the tour!! So cool! Also went to the 1000 Giants-my mouth fell open-absolutely huge trees and beautiful drive to & from. Suggest taking Rte 178 up and taking Route 155 back. We saw the 2 BR which was nice too. We even saw an elk one night just down the road!! Wonderful place!!! Don't miss it!
