As previous reviewer stated, the motel rooms were TINY and the shower was a joke (Our friends staying in a 2-room cabin had the same awkward tiny shower with an inadequate curtain). We weren't expecting the ritz, but even with moderate expectations we were disappointed. Our room was heated by two space heaters, the bed was not firm, pillows were flat, there was no maid service, furniture was ripped (in both rooms that we frequented during the weekend) and the hot tub was only luke warm. We made our reservation by phone, never received a written confirmation and were charged for the entire stay (not just a deposit, as the website indicates) when we made the reservation.
On a positive note, the room did provide a toaster oven, fridge, alarm clock, cable tv and coffee maker (though no coffee!), along with 6 bars of soap (but no shampoo). Each room/cabin has a nice, small deck in front so you can sit outside and enjoy your morning coffee or evening coctail if you desire. And of course, the lake is beautiful...isn't that why we come to Tahoe anyway??
Overall, I felt that the place was overpriced even with the off-season rates. There were no "extras" in the room, and the overall condition of the room was worn. We weren't even sure what time to check out, since there was no sign in the room, and we didn't see anyone in the office during the two days that we were there. There is no way I would stay in one of the motel rooms if I was in Tahoe to ski since there is no room to hang wet clothes or stash gear. The cabins would be a better bet for a ski vacation...and only then if the other places in town were booked!
