“Old Time Tahoe at its Best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014

We have been staying here for the last five years for the Fourth of July. When you check in we get a very warm" welcome back" from Corina and Maria. Our room had a number of upgrades including new carpet. This is a family run establishment and all the pride of ownership is evident in all the staff members. The beach, loads of water toys and beach fire pit are the best you could ask for. Check out their web cam for how beautiful the location is. If your looking for an amazing beach property and incredible hospitality this is it. Cant wait to come back!

From start to finish, we absolutely loved our visit to this gem of a resort on the North Shore. After four previous stays in a South Lake Tahoe, where we could occasionally glimpse the lake from various hotel rooms and had to pay a fortune to rent equipment for our kids to use. This resort had it all at a reasonable rate but more importantly, a consistent spirit of hospitality. Our room, #112, was just STEPS away from the beach with a beautiful view of the lake. The entire staff needs to be complimented for their efforts, most especially Razvan who was so helpful and patient assisting my boys with the beach equipment! We cannot wait to return!

We had not booked and found Mourelatos in the AAA Tour Guide. We wanted 2 nights, needing to rest up on a long road trip. They gave us a huge room with a corner view of the lake, with dining kitchen, sofa and chairs, and very comfortable Kingsize bed. We fixed our food in the kitchen and spent our whole day relaxing on the private beach, where they provide sun loungers with parasols & beach towels - the families around us were having fun with canoes and swimming out to an inflatable pontoon - lifejackets provided too. All sorts of equipment was left out for children to use (bats, balls etc) and in the evening, guests relaxed around firepits or had a barbeque. This was a little bit of heaven in a very busy resort. There were plenty of restaurants within easy reach and a huge Safeway up the road. It wasn't cheap, but worth every penny - take your flipflops!

Room Tip: The rooms are arranged in 2 blocks either side of the plot, each room has an angled view of the lake...

Our king room (142), second from the lakeshore, had a fabulous view and was very comfortable. We did hear faint TV sounds from either below or beside us. The room has no air conditioning, but a ceiling fan and a few open windows (there are screens and a cross-breeze is possible) cooled the room nicely. The property is clean and well-maintained, and right on the beach with a perfect view of the snow-covered peaks along the southern (opposite) end of Lake Tahoe. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay here again. Note that units/rooms have either kitchens or kitchenettes, and there is no restaurant on property. The ice cream from across the road was delicious.

Room Tip: The resort website lets you see location of each room, so you can request your specific location. W...

We stayed with our children and had a great time. The view from the room and the front of the hotel is amazing. Try to get a room closer to the lake if you can, but I think all have views of the lake to some degree. The staff is very nice and accommodating especially Corrina, Maria, and Alecia. Going early in the summer it seemed like everything was not set up. I think things would be more organized starting in June, but it will be more crowded. I would definitely go back.

Our first time staying here. We spent 2 nights in a King room. Very clean, nice, well decorated. Spacious and included a fireplace, patio area and stunning lake view. We used the hot tub and beach - happy with both. No complaints. We hope to return!

We booked 3 nights here at a very reasonable price for Lake Tahoe accommodation - we had a king suite which comprised bedroom with king bed plus a sofa bed, a full kitchen with dining table and four chairs and a bathroom which had been recently renovated. It's a family run place and the staff were exceptionally helpful - everything is clean, ample parking and a beautiful beach right on the doorstep. There are BBQs and kayaks etc for summer use and an excellent spa just across the road where I had a facial and massage at reasonable cost.
We thoroughly recommend this resort.

Room Tip: choose 111 or 211 to be looking straight out onto the lake but all rooms have verandah access with l...
