“Fantastic weekend away on the Lake”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I recently visited the resort for a work event. We made our reservations only expecting a place to stay for a quick trip and ended up having a fantastic mini-vacation. Each room has a porch angled towards their private beach which provides gorgeous views of the sunset. The resort is quiet, clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back without the work constraints.

Although the Hotel is a little dated and in need of some repairs the views are worth the minor issues. We stayed in Room 121 which was a spacious King room with kitchen on the second floor facing the beach/lake front with unobstructed views of the Lake and mountains. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The most annoying thing was that the windows were dirty and the view is the most important reason to stay at this Hotel. The staff was courteous and housekeeping stayed away tell we were out of the room exploring the area. Thanks for a nice stay.

What a wonderful place to get away!! The rooms are spacious and clean and the beach is right outside your front door! We could choose from many beach activities if we wanted, or just lay out on the padded chaise lounges under the umbrella to relax. We brought food to bbq, so never even had to leave the resort. I have to say that the customer service was the best! Everyone there went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

Go for the views & beach (including complimentary stand up paddle..)! Room 145 was spacious and had great views of the lake. The King size bed was super comfy although the room being located next to the ice machine combined with road noise wasn't ideal for sleeping. It was nice to have a full kitchen area with deck. Don't miss a visit to the cute Ice Cream shack across the street too.

Room Tip: Room 145 was spacious and had great views of the lake. The King size bed was super comfy although t...

We couldn't make it the first night due to traffic jams in SFO, the owners kindly did not charge us for that night which they did not have to do. The rooms are really great, large beds, nice decor, fireplace, clean. They also had patio chairs and a table for each room just outside where we ate breakfast each morning looking over the lake. With your own beach literally on your doorstep this is a great place to relax. The only downside was that our view of the mountains was shrouded by the smoke from the Yosemite rim fire. There is a good icecream place and a nice restaurant (spindleshanks) across the street.

Family owned and operated and it shows. All requests were promptly addressed. Rooms are a very nice size with a little kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator and sink with glasses and cups, and coffee pot. Our room also had a pull-out sofa so a family with two small children could stay in one room. All rooms have views of the lake. Outside each room is a table and chairs so you can sit outside and eat or drink something and look at the lake. The resort has swimming and you can rent out kayaks. We were there for a long weekend for a wedding. The beach has fire pits. There is also a swimming pool. There is no restaurant on the property, but lots of options in different price ranges in and around Tahoe Vista. Wifi is available. Would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: The first room closest to the lake has a full kitchen. The others have efficiency kitchens. The room...

The Mourelatos family make this resort a family occasion. The word "no" is not in their vocabulary. Any request or question was always answered as if we were part of their family who were visiting their home. The amenities were limitless. Paddle boards, kayaks, s'mores by the fire pits...A gas grill delivered to our room to grill steaks. We got to know and enjoy all the other guests as we all became extended members of the family at this resort. This is sounding like a paid commercial but be assured, it is not! Our granddaughters have sworn us to bring them back for an annual event. Count on it, we'll be here! Treat yourselves, check this place out
