“Very nice rooms!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012 via mobile

First we wanted to stay just one night, but Tahoe City and the rooms were so sweet that we extended for one night.
The Motelrooms are clean and spacy and have a fridge, a microwave a TV and a view to the lake (not all of them).
We didn't use the pool, cause there are a lot of beaches around the lake and the pool did not look so nice.
Staff was friendly and the price was ok.
We would return.

“shame on you”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

if it wasn't for the lovely view from our room I would totally dis this hotel. the pool was closed for maintenance and not a word was mentioned on their website ( I was so looking forward to a pool). when i received confirmation of my reservation, it mentioned there was a restr. and bar "on site". no there isn't!! I pointed it out to mgnt. and they said that they don't control/oversee their website. Really, wouldn't you be curious as to how you were being respresented?!?!?!?!
They did have a decent free breakfast which included on the spot homemade Belgin Waffles.
Our Lake Cruise was cancelled 2 days in a row (it was my birthday trip) and the managers felt so bad for me that they gave us a nice bottle of wine (bonus point). The frig in the room made a humming noise all night. The rooms could be painted with brigher colors (it was very dark and hard to read anything or even for unpacking). Bed was comfortable enough. Oh, and we were warned about bringing our own towels, so we did and they took them! We managed to get them back (washed of course), but still.

“Hotel not what it seems to be”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2012 via mobile

The hotel looks nice in the pictures but, the bathroom in the rooms are horrible and the sink and toilet, shower were broken. The pool that they show online is empty not filled with water. There is only one microwave and refrigerater for all 23 rooms and the first one their gets to use them. When you want to revoke your reservation at the last such as the day you are going to stay their you still are going to have to pay for one full night $100. If you don't want to pay any money than you should revoke your reservation 3 days in advanced I learned the hard way.

“Location is the best thing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2012

This could be such an awesome place but sadly the owners just want to milk it without putting anything and I mean anything into it. Yes, it is an old place but the location is right across a trail that the city is finalizing to take you through town---as it is now you can cross country it. We took this place for the low, low price, but upon just driving up we knew it was bad. From outside we could see the rod on the window was falling down--what would it take to just replace it??? Uh, 2 min? Yes, because my husband did it. The unit was clean but dingy carpet, towels etc. The bed was comfortable though. The motel is located on an upslope so from the top of the motel area there is a little view of the lake---from the pool which is not maintained and doubtful healthy to dip your toe into. Don't stay here unless you have high tolerance for dinge factor. Shame on you cheap owners!!

“Small & old, but fairly clean. Deceiving pictures.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012 via mobile

This place isn't what the pictures show. Photos are taken w/a wide angle lens, apparently a long time ago! It is clean on the inside, but very small. The outside is not maintained well. The building needs a paint job badly. The sidewalk & parking lot needs to be redone. The small patch of grass needs some attention. The screens don't stay on the windows, so the bugs will come in. The shower is a 3x3 box w/a very low shower head. One person in the bathroom is ok, two is crowded. The lighting is pretty weak in the room. The tv picture is fuzzy. The continental breakfast includes 2 dry cereals, toast & coffee. The pool is locked & empty. Has been empty for a year the guy at the front desk says. He says he doesn't know when they are coming to fix it. Haha. The best thing about the motel is it is on a great location. You can walk to anywhere from the motel
