“Great view at a reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

My wife and I spent one night at this hotel in early August. A worker in the city's visitor information center steered us there, and we got a good deal on a 7th floor room with a king-sized bed and a gorgeous view of Lake Tahoe. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The chairs outside on the walkway overlooking the lake were a thoughtful bonus. There was no air conditioning and the provided electric fan was somewhat noisy, but this was a small price to pay for the lake view and convenience of being able to walk to restaurants and the lakeside park. The included breakfast was simple but adequate. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the higher floors of the tower have the best lake views

“Spectacular location - perfect for summer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2012

I loved this hotel. My friends and I were on a tight budget and this hotel was perfect for summer. Great pool / balcony area - perfect for kicking back with a beer & deck of cards. Brilliant location. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Easy parking. Yummy breakfast (even if it was basic). You can see the lake but there are a few trees in the way. Who's complaining?? Not me!!

“Well situated economical hotel at Tahoe City”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2012

We stayed for four nights mid july over a week-end. The hotel management is friendly, helpful, and responsive to requests. Room was large enough, with frig & microwave, whole coffe beans and grinder, clean...although week-end "maid service" was not as good as the regular maid service during the week. Best part is hotel is located across the street from great restauarants (e.g., Wolfdale, Jakes on the Lake, Rosie's), bicycle rental, bike path, shopping mall, etc. If you make a reservation I recommend you call the hotel directly rather than over internet so you can ask for a room in the high rise. The room we got over the internet was along the front second floor. The lights strung along the front shine in the room at night. And noise from roadway was prominent over week-end...not the best for sensitive sleepers. Overall we enjoyed this hotel stay very much and the price is right! They accept AAA as well.

Room Tip: Calal the hotel directly and ask for a room in their high rise. Great view of the lake, no lights r...

“Good spot to stay for early a.m. fishing trips.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2012

We got quite a good deal on a 6th floor room in May.
The room had a great lake view.
There is a sun deck with chairs for warm weather.
Our room was a bit dated, but served it's purpose for our early a.m. fishing trip.

The boat dock is just across the street and a safe, short walk from there at dawn.
We met up with Captain Chris for our Mackinaw fishing trip with no problems.
(caught our limit with his expertise.)
There is a lovely beach and picnic area very close by.

All in all, the inn served our purpose just fine.
We were up too early to have breakfast, so cannot comment on it.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the tower and an upper floor with a view.

“Nice but not spectacular”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2012

This property has a great location across the street from beautiful Lake Tahoe in a quaint little town. The room was nice but not spectacular. Not a huge room and the closet area was tucked back into a corner behind the wall, access to it was very strange. Unit appeared to be clean, but the carpets were a little questionable. Noise from trucks behind the build at random times was annoying. No smoking signs posted everywhere but the staff all seemed to be smokers and were outside the office blazing butts. The continental breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. The view of the lake and the moderate temperatures made the stay enjoyable.
